I haven't been there in a while. Over the last several years it's ranged from great to mediocre at best. Latest was a mix.
The fried dumplings were tasty. Five dumplings, fewer than some places, and they were smaller than other places. The portion of dipping sauce was very small. Forget dunking. Pour carefully... one drop at a time... don't want to waste any.
The chicken pad thai was not as spicy as I would have liked (I asked for spicy). The flavor was good, but the overall portion was disappointing. The portion of chicken was even more disappointing.
The drunken noodle with beef was tasty. Ordered 'spicy' and this one was spicy. My ding on this dish was that the beef was tough. Almost 'very tough'. Again the overall portion was disappointing, but in this dish it was easier to find the protein as contrasted with the chicken pad thai.
Delivery was fast, and the food was nice and hot when it got here.
So my advice is:
Be a little more generous with the portions. It may cost you a little more, but skimping will result in the loss of a customer. Be a little more generous with the protein. Use a better cut of beef so that it's not tough. Again, it may cost you a little more, but it won't cost...
Read moreTonight we ordered take away. We spent approximately $45.00.
The fresh spring rolls were small - no chicken - no shrimp.
Pad Thai was odd... usually it is (from what we’ve had prior) clearish, translucent like, clean, and usually with chicken and or shrimp. This came with shrimp and was brownish, thick - stuck together. And it had a funky taste.
We ordered veggies and chicken. Mostly all onions !!!, a few string beans, lots of pineapple ??? and a brownish curry like sauce.
We did serve it, and had small servings and thought - for the money and quality we’ve had better. I’d recommend Chim Thai in Milford... as a matter of personal taste - much better.
It sat hard and we tossed what remained out rather than saving it for lunch tomorrow. It was really ‘not great... or good,’ again personal taste.
From our perspective 1) not great quality and 2) over priced for what you get.
Disappointed. Won’t go back.
There are two Thai places in Milford - both are better. The one in the old Stop and Shop plaza by The Mandarin is MUCH better - just our opinion.
It’s just...
Read moreAtrocious customer service. I had my husband pick up take out on his way home, the restaurant is about 20 min away from where we live but on his way home. Being a vegetarian I was excited to see so many options on the menu however when I got my dinner there was chicken in it. I proceeded to call the restaurant and ask them to credit us the meal since I was unable to eat it. The manager wanted me to bring the food back and have it remade, but being 20 minutes away with a child that needed to go to bed, it really wasn't an option to go all the way back there. After much debate she did agree to credit me for the meal but then continued to insist I bring it back. Ive worked in the restaurant industry in the past and the only thing that should be said to a customer that has a problem with their food is I'm sorry! She did not once apologize and went as far as to say that she would be doing me a courtesy to credit me for the meal. I will needless to say never be ordering from here again which is a shame since it would be a convenient place to pick up food for us and...
