Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Hot Springs

Maybe l came on an off day, but the donuts were very disappointing. I grew up working in my parent's donut shop, so l think l know a good donut. The donuts l picked up the other day were dry and flavorless. Donuts are supposed to be yeasty, sweet, delicious, doughy bites of flavor. These were tragic.

The icing was thin, flavorless, and flaking off even at 9 am in the morning. They're priced well, but l wouldn't buy them again. The kolaches were good but were basically hot dogs in a wrapped in dough. The "bear claw" was just a claw shaped donut. They're traditionally supposed to have apple inside. Maybe they're better at their other location, but l'll stick with fried pies...

Great, authentic Donuts. Love their filled long johns. They let you pick what type of filling you want because they are not filled until you order. We got the white cream filling and the Bavarian or custard like filling. Both were very tasty and make it hard to choose what we will get next time. We liked that this was a traditional donut shop and not a fancy, crazy filling and design shop. Donut holes, cinnamon disk, and cinnamon twist were excellent. Will definitely go there...

So busy,so good!!! Who doesn't like a HOT FRESH DOUGHNUT!!?? They also have little sausage dogs,egg ,sausage,cheese croissants, milks,juice,take out or eat in. They also have a Drive Thru,but you may have a small wait,during PEAK TIMES !! VERY NICE PEOPLE.... BUT,IT IS ONE ORDER AT A TIME. IT IS LIMITED STAFF. KEEP THAT IN MIND ALONG W/ YOUR PATIENCE!
