Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Houghton

I used to order delivery from Applebee's often but I cut down a lot because without fail, every single time without exaggerating they forget some of my order and it's really cold when it arrives. I'm not one to call and complain until I finally had enough. Finally I called and complained when I ordered the classic combo and they forgot my chips and artichoke dip. I didn't get compensation, just a I'll talk to my staff and make sure they're double checking the bags. I decided to give them one more try today. I ordered a strawberry balsamic salad (not cheap) it literally had a little lettuce at the bottom with 4 strawberry slices on it and they forgot the breadstick. I also ordered the classic combo the cheese sticks were freezing cold and hard as a rock. I got maybe a spoon full of ice cold artichoke dip, cold Buffalo wings and cold quesidllas with no salsa( also forgotten). Not to mention it took an hour and a half to get here from 2 miles away. Appetizers were great, once we finally got them. Entree, the first one that was given me was a chicken dinner, I had order the steak dinner (medium well). Obviously sent that back. Then 5 minutes later out comes my steak that had spent about 30 seconds on each side on the grill (rare). Sent that back, and 10 minutes later was given the same steak, well done with my side of "steamed" broccoli (discolored and moldy) and hard. Sent that back only to get another in worse shape.

By the way our poor waitress was nearly in tears from being yelled at in the kitchen by management. Not her fault, she did everything she could being 1 of 3 people waiting on the entire restaurant.

Save your money and time, find a different restaurant. We won't be back not only because of the food but I'm not going to spend my money at a business that treats their...

Server and host were wonderful. The food on the other hand was... Weird. Its usually good but tonight it wasn't prepared right. My husband got the 3 cheese mac & chicken or something but it was nothing like it usually is. The sauce was watery and only in the bottom of the bowl and the chicken didn't have much on it... Hard to explain. It was edible but it was really weird. My ribs were ok but they also seemed to have been done with too much water. The onion rings were fantastic, mashed potatoes were good, broccoli good but wings and pasta didn't look or taste the way they usually do. I'm just writing this so they know.
