Disappointed in the actions of the owner/manager toward their staff tonight. There was a lot going on at the restaurant tonight; there was a crew doing some sort of maintenance and the store generally seemed short staffed. I pulled up to the window to pay and the girl working the register was young and super sweet. She took my money and asked me to stay put until my custard was ready. The register window was open and I was scrolling on my phone while I waited when I watched the owner/manager (in jeans and very clearly unhappy to be at the restaurant at 9pm on Friday of 4th of July weekend) snap at the employee working the register to “Not hold anyone at the window. Take their money and move them forward, take their money and move them forward, take their money and move them forward!”. She tried to say something back to him and again he barked at her to “Not hold anyone at the window!”. The employee took it like a champ and quickly turned to me and handed me my food with a smile on her face but I felt so bad for her. That encounter should have never happened that way in the first place, but the fact that the owner/manager acted that way knowingly in front of a customer was alarming. Kudos to the employee for remaining professional when her superior did not. It’s unfortunate that the owner/manager doesn’t appreciate their employees who show up for busy holiday weekends and lead by a...
Read moreThe person taking orders was overwhelmed as they were very busy with a long line waiting to order. It looked like the manager was cooking. The order taker told us he'd be with us in a minute as he had run out on $1 bills for change. We watched as another employee took all of the $5 bills in his drawer to get him the $1 bills. So, as a result while making change, he now has no $5 bills for change. He tells the manager that he now needs $5's. The manager belittles the order taker in front of everyone, loud enough for us to hear it plainly! It was not the order takers fault! A good manager DOES NOT BELITTLE AN EMPLOYEE IN FRONT OF EVERYONE, including customers!! The manager was visibly stressed, which in turn made all of his employees more stressed. My husband also ordered ice cream and asked that it be brought after the meal. We hadn't even sat down yet and a young girl brought the ice cream! We told them we haven't even sat down to get our food, yet! Her response was rude and told us we should have said something when ordering...WE DID! SO, when done with his meal, my husband went up to the counter to get his ice cream. Again, another issue of rude comments that they didn't realize my husband could hear plainly. I realize it was busy and employees were stressed, but we should not be hearing the negative comments that were being made not only by the employees, but also...
Read moreslow and unprofessional, we went through the drive through and the guy was talking unmuted on the speaker. We waited patiently for them to complete what sounded like an order or something even though the drive through was one lane so I’m not sure who they were talking to. After a bit I said ‘hello’. There was no answer, I said it again, still no answer. Sat for another minute and eventually said “can I order now?” As he never took a break from talking and was just going on and on about more that clearly was not an order. He told me to give him a moment then went silent. Order was taken promptly. They had us pull up to a parking spot and gave us our food after a long wait, but didn’t give us everything we ordered so had to go back around again. Once at the speaker same thing happened again, he was unmuted and I had to wait a hot minute. He kept asking “where you at?” Multiple times and I was so confused and kept saying at the speaker and he’d just say no and then start talking to someone and ask again. Once done going thru the second time, Thought we had everything but half of one of the chicken strips in the kids meal was missing. Rest of the food was good...
