I recently had the pleasure of dining at Annam, and it was an unforgettable experience to celebrate my graduation. From the moment I walked in, the warm, modern ambiance set the tone for what would be a fantastic meal. What surprised me most was the receptionist’s uniform — a white áo dài, the traditional Vietnamese dress. It was especially striking because it’s the same style worn by every female high school student in Vietnam. In addition, our server, Kiana, provided us exceptional service. She was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving.
The menu is a celebration of Vietnamese cuisine, with traditional flavors presented in a fresh, elevated way. I began the meal with the Opo Squash Shrimp Soup, a comforting start that tasted just like my mom’s homemade version. The Pork Jowl Lettuce Wrap was rich and aromatic, with perfectly marinated meat that melted in every bite. But the true standout was the Grilled Wagyu Wrapped in Betel Leaf & Roasted Branzino — tender, full of flavor, and artfully presented. The rest of the dishes were equally impressive, evoking the vibrant, authentic street food found on every corner in Vietnam.
What really sets Annam apart is their attention to detail. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and artistically presented, showing both respect for tradition and a modern creative twist.
Whether you’re a fan of Vietnamese food or trying it for the first time, Annam is a must-visit. It’s clear they’re not just serving food — they’re elevating the entire dining experience.

The food was absolutely exceptional. The pan-seared spicy tenderloin was the star of the evening—tender, perfectly cooked, and beautifully balanced with heat and depth, and bursting with flavor. It’s the kind of dish you think about days later. Other standouts included the crispy Vietnamese crepe, the pork jowl lettuce wraps, and the king salmon clay pot, a bold, peppercorn-forward savory dish.
The watercress with beef and egg salad was just okay in comparison—not bad, but simply outshone by the rest of the menu’s heavy hitters.
Service-wise, while the server lacked the polish you’d expect from a fine dining experience, the manager (or possibly owner) more than made up for it. They were welcoming, attentive, and deeply invested in the dining experience, offering explanations and genuinely caring about feedback. Their passion and professionalism elevated the night considerably.
One small note: the table surface was noticeably sticky. When we brought it up, the manager explained that it was due to the varnish—not grime—which was a relief, though still a bit distracting.
All in all, Annam is a place I’d return to in a heartbeat. The flavors are bold and beautifully executed, the ambiance is stunning, and the care from management makes it feel special. It’s a culinary experience that leaves a lasting impression—and a craving to come...

Our waiter, Thomas, was a standout—courteous and attentive. , and eager to ensure our experience was flawless. The special An Nam cocktail, a spirited twist on the classic Vietnamese "Sô đa xíu muội," was a revelation. Bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced, it’s a must-try for anyone looking to sip something uniquely Vietnamese.
The food was equally memorable. The mango salad arrived bursting with flavor—vibrant, fresh, and undeniably mouthwatering. For me, it leaned a bit too sour and spicy, but it was perfect for my lady. The tofu clay pot, a traditional Vietnamese dish, was another highlight. Served sizzling in its earthenware vessel, it was rich, savory, and paired impeccably with a side of steamed rice—an authentic taste of Vietnam that felt both comforting and refined.
