Visited the Gus S. Wortham Memorial Fountain while visiting the Waugh Drive Bat Colony. The "Dandelion" named fountain is scenic spot of Houston. It was built in 1978 by Houston Architect William T Cannady.
The fountain is made of a central bronze shaft sprouting multiple bronze sprinkler pipes which create a dandelion like spherical spray of water. The fountain is covered with semi circular tree garden. At night the fountain light up with colorful light displays. No roadside parking. You have to park a far from the park and walk to the fountain.
