The WORST Italian food I've ever tasted.
Stopped by here yesterday to grab something to eat while visiting the tattoo parlor next door. Ordered a Italian sausage po-boy, 2 slices of meat lovers pizza, a medium Italian lemon ice, and Italian sausage pasta.
My other half hated the po-boy. She didn't like the taste of it, and the roll was also soggy. My autistic son loves pizza, but didn't want that pizza. He indicated he didn't like the taste, and struggled to finish one slice. The "Italian ice" turned out to be barely slushy lemonade. It actually appeared like the person taking the order turned the machine on just prior to serving.
The pasta? It turned out to be spaghetti, with a dollop of sauce on it, small sausage crumbles that appeared to be bought-in, and a little mozzarella on top. The sausage tasted like it came out of a freezer bag. The sauce was overpowering with garlic, like it was trying to hide the taste of everything else. Probably for good reason, because the pasta had that sour, rancid taste that it has when it's going bad. It definitely wasn't cooked that day, that's for sure. I took one bite, nearly hurled, and threw the rest away.
If it wasn't a long drive back I'd have gone to return everything. TBS, reading other recent reviews made me think they wouldn't care, as did the fact that they could serve something as rancid as the pasta in the first place. I'm a 1st and last time...
Read moreWhat I experienced here was some of THE BEST SPAGHETTI AND PIZZA in Houston. I have not tried anything else there but im sure it is worth trying. I have wasted $$ at Spaghetti Warehouse and others for wasn't even as good as what we could make at home. BUT we tried Bambolinos spaghetti dinner at $ and it made us wish we had more hands so we could give it more THUMBS UP. Lol ! The salad was made from THE FRESHEST VEGGIES. The pizza ? Get the MEAT LOVERS BY SLICE which actually has [2] slices which cant even hold all of the toppings without overflowing. They also have nice outside patio, imported beer and bottled wine AND flat screen tv. I am president / ceo of Allstar Transportation service & Limousine and only bother to brag about the best. YOU WILL NOT REGRET. This is a great neighborhood place to grab a beer, imported beer, bottle of wine and a slice then sit out on the patio and people watch. Get a double slice "Meat Lovers" +...
Read moreThe atmosphere of the place was very quaint and cute but that’s about the only positive thing about it. Parking is cramped so be prepared for that. Service was subpar. The man who took my order looked like he hated his job and did not want to be there at all. The food was served on plastic ware which wouldn’t even be that big of a deal if the food wasn’t bad as well. I got the spaghetti and meatballs and my boyfriend got the meatball po-boy, both of which were extremely bland. I see a lot of people raving about their pizzas which I had not been able to try but if you claim to be an “authentic” italian restaurant and can’t even get spaghetti and meatballs right then it makes me question whether anything else would be good. I will say, to end on a positive note, the garlic bread was good. If they added the garlic spread to their sandwiches it would...
