Hello, nice to meet you. My name is Abeliz Durant, I arrive approximately at 4:10pm on July 5,2025 at the 1435 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77006 clinic that closed at 4:30. I called before to confirm the closing time because I drove 1 hour to get to the clinic. I arrive and the women in the front desk was very kind. I go get my blood drawn and the nurse does not greet me, told me to sit and I ask her: â where can I put my number ( number 17) and she looks at me and tells me â I told you to sitâ. She ignore my question while the other intern or nurse was SLEEPING in the lab covering her entire body with the white lab coat⌠I sat down feeling completely out of place and take the courage and share with her that I have trouble getting my blood drawn, I told her she could try as meany times as she wants but I donât want her to keep poking me once she is inside if she does not find the vein. She stops cleaning my arm and looks at me full of anger. I shut up and I am about to get out of the clinic because I see she does not care about me as a patient and I knew Immediately as a health worker MYSELF she was not up for the task. I tell her â go deep in the veins if you wantâ. She takes a step backs and ask me in front of the other sleeping nurse â are you done or not?â. I told her â do you have a problem with me talking because this is my arm?â. She laughs and says ânoâ. She proceeds to take my blood and could not find the right vain, immediately while the needle is inside she started moving it and poking me. I beg her not to do that before we started and she violated my trust as a patient. I am autistic and every single time the needle moves inside of my arm I can feel it 2 times more because of my sensory issues. I do not have to share my personal life to anyone in order to be treated with respect like any other human being. She could not find a vein after poking me and ended trying to take the blood on both of my arms. At the end she left, didnât move the arm of the chair that was preventing me from getting out and did not told me where to go. The lady that does the oral and vaginal swaps had to literally tell me where to go and help me with the arm of the chair cause I was afraid to move because I did not wanted to face the nurse at all.
As a health worker myself is not my fault that she is working on a Saturday or that In 20 minutes the clinic was about to close, those are billing hours and she is choosing to be there. She should work with corpses if she cannot work with real life patients. Her lack of empathy and professionalism is nobodyâs problem but her own.

Read moreI was referred to AHF Pharmacy by a close friend and I couldnât be happier with my experience from beginning to end. Ashley the manager guided me through the process. Queen welcomed me, explained everything, and set me up with an appointment. I was given a number minutes after opening and shortly after that I was seen for my HIV testing. The rapid test process was informative and warm-hearted. Rhonda (ccs2) explained everything in detail with joy and expertise. I felt welcomed and safe. After I saw Clifton the phlebotomist and I can say with assurance he has the steadiest hand in the field. Again, quickly after I finished with the blood tests I met with Hannah the Linkage to Prep specialist. Life saving information was explained to me and she was extremely knowledgeable. Lastly I talked with Jocelyn and Aruna and they helped me with the forms for my free of charge medication and delivery. The entire process was too notch and I would recommend this Pharmacy to anyone seeking attention. Youâll see the same faces when you visit. I love...
Read moreI am just so annoyed and just so disgusted with my last visit to AHF. Itâs really gone downhill. I have been going to AHF for over eight years and this is my first time having the worst experience. Director Rhonda doesnât know what sheâs doing and doesnât care about anybodyâs time or well-being. Sheâs more concerned about getting her bathroom dirty than helping those in need. For a bathroom issue that has been going on for days. She failed to inform anyone that those were waiting would not be able to take a portion of the STD testing. I waited over four hours yesterday to take my test results which I never even got till this day. I havenât even received my test results even after using up all my PTO for work and then some just to be there and to have my time wasted. Iâve never seen such a director who wasnât competent enough to direct. Rhonda is the worst. I will be switching testing centers immediately until sheâs removed. What a waste of my four hours with and over an hour drive to and back with no results...
