Update: this is my third time here and I’ve never been happier. I feel like I’ve been going here my entire life. I cried today as I hugged Electa and thanked her over and over again for giving me a confidence in myself that I’ve never truly had before. I will be continuing my business here as long as Electa will allow. RUN, don’t walk here.

I’ve never been happier with a haircut in my life. I walked in with a fairly recent haircut that was the middle ground to me making a huge decision. I’ve had the same hair for majority of my life: long and straight. The place was welcoming from beginning to end. Electa saw me and immediately knew without question what I needed. She was patient with me as I was chopping off more of my hair than I ever have before and helped me make some decisions I needed a push on. I was hesitant and nervous even walking out. After years, no decades, really, of cutting my own hair, I finally took the leap and entrusted someone else with the scissors. I couldn’t have asked for a better person than Taylor and her team!

Taylor was patient, intuitive, and never rushed the process of a transformative haircut. She really listened, not just to what I (think I) wanted, but to the unspoken nerves that come with trusting someone new with something so personal. You can tell Taylor built something rooted in authenticity and deep respect for her craft.

Supporting their business that is run with heart and integrity felt even more meaningful knowing it’s minority-owned. I highly recommend SMB - especially if you’re someone who’s been hesitant for a long time (Electa could hear my nerves over the phone the first time I called to enquire).
