I came across Cake & Bacon at the Fulshear Farmerās market and decided to buy a loaf of their sourdough bread.
Wow.
Quite possibly the best sourdough Iāve ever tasted. Not even kidding. Toast it, butter it and add a small sprinkle of salt to bring out the yeasty goodness and youāre in heaven.
I would recommend keeping it in your refrigerator so it lasts longer. If it goes stale before youāre done with it, guess what? Pain perdu! (French Toast, it literally translates to āforgotten breadā).
What if it gets so stale that French toast isnāt an option? Cut it up and drizzle with butter and herbs and bake them to make croutons, or blend them up for a bread crumb for fried shrimp?
Enough about how to use stale bread, just swing by the Fulshear Farmerās Market on any Saturday morning and pick up a log (or two along with any other delicious baked treats that might catch your eye!)
Love the people, love the product and couldnāt be happier I found them!
Thank...

I went to the East End Farmer's Market and was so touched by the sweet ladies at the booth. On a personal note, my mother recently passed and I got choked up when I saw a sourdough bread she would have loved. I wish I got their names, but I will never forget their thoughtfulness when they insisted on giving that loaf of sourdough to offer their condolences. I never write reviews, but I had to share my thoughts after this act of kindness and the fact both breads were amazing! ...

Almost 30% more expensive than Central Market and Whole foods, even expensive French Bakery such as Mademoiselle Louise. You need to sample taste the Mademoiselle Louise before you dare to charge more than their pastries, also, go get your bakery certificate in Paris before you dare to...
