I feel very proud to be a part of this masjid. Sister Ashma and sister Rana are members of the board at clic. They are amazing.Their support group for women is life changing. They empower women to take care of themselves in every way. The ramadan retreat in galveston is amazing! They prepared us mentally, emotionally and physically for ramadan. and the fact that shaikh waleed supports retreats and events for women says a lot about him! He looks out for everyone and wants the best for everyone! Clic is very welcoming to everyone. The diversity, the organization, and events there are also amazing. All of the imam’s there are great! I feel like I am home when I am at clic. I love that they have a childcare program in ramadan for parents so they can focus on their worship. Very friendly people who go out of their way to be open, kind, and friendly. Some of their customs are a bit of odd to us who weren't raised Islamic: like the fact that men and women worship separately, shoes are left outside the house of worshipp, what a Christian would call the sanctuary, and they wash their feet before going inside. They offer free educational material to anyone who wants to know more, and are happy to answer any questions.

I did ask the Guest of Honor at a women's event how members of an Islamic society would react to a transgender person. She told me the only thing that is prohibited is illicit sex, like a married person having an affair, implying that a transgender person of either gender would be accepted as the gender...

MashaAllah went there couple of times. Really clean, good brothers,atmosphere and the Masjid itself. Downside is sometimes Adults and kids make lots of noise not respecting the masjid or the brothers and sisters praying. Also, just having a good recitation and pronunciation doesn't mean anyone should be allowed to lead the prayers(even though the prayers will be accepted but shouldn't be allowed to lead unless no one there to lead) specially who's not following proper sunnah(no head covering, garments pants below ankles etc.) But here , anyone just goes and leads which should be avoided.
