Dawn Donuts — Restaurant in Houston

This is hands down the best donut shop I have ever been.

From the get-go, the staff was incredibly polite and welcoming. The donuts are fairly large, the flavor is intense, and it's fairly priced.

But what really sold me on this place is that I thought I had seen a white frosted donut. I asked for it, but it wasn't actually a white glazed. Before I even knew I was incorrect, he went to the back and made me the donut I wanted by hand.

He didn't ask if I wanted something else. Instead. He didn't say sorry we're out. He, without any prompting or requesting on my part, went and made me what I wanted before I even knew that's what he was doing.

THAT'S SERVICE! THAT'S INTEGRITY!

The people who run this place are good people, and that's more important to me than the food, flavor, or price.

Stopped by today because I work in the area. I usually get donuts on my side of town but I was running late and wanted to find a small local business to still support. Walking into this place already felt welcoming. The guys at the front counter were having exchanges with people like they’ve known them forever. You can tell they care about their customers and they even have a wall by the check out where they’ve received notes and drawings from the local neighborhoods. I was having a bad day so I just ordered one thing to be in and out and whether they knew or not, or they were just being nice, they through in a donut which happened to be my favorite, an old fashioned glazed. Yall can’t tell me that theses don’t look good! Went there for the first time today. When I walked in they greeted me with “Good Morning Welcome”& big smiles lol Everything looked so good I had to grab a few different donuts to try & they gave me free donut holes which really made my day! The guy in the back came up to greet me & asked me how I was this morning. Very genuine customer service which made it top tier. Now the donuts… the kolache was ok, the cheese texture was off putting to me (I’m a texture person) but other than that everything else that I got was delicious my favorite is this apple fritter, so good you could taste the cinnamon really well way better than Shipleys (not to compare).
