I tried out De Nhat Mi Gia over the weekend and will definitely come back for more. This hidden gem delivers an authentic, delicious and flavor-packed experience. I ordered their Special King Noodles, dry style and it was nothing short of spectacular. My husband ordered the broth version. Both came with sliced pork cha siu, shrimps, wontons, pork liver and kidney. My broth came on the side. The broth was light yet deeply flavorful, with a rich umami depth. Every sip was a warm, soothing delight. I loved the crispy pork skins that they added in the soup. The wontons were plump and juicy, perfectly balance of seasoning. The pork liver and kidney were so good and I usually don’t like organs. I just love the texture of the kidney, very special. The egg noodles were thin, springy, and cooked to perfection. They had just the right amount of chewiness. Pork was thinly sliced making it very soft to eat. If you love noodles, De Nhat Mi Gia is a must try! Oh I forgot to mention that they have a great drink menu as well. I tried the Sea Salt Coffee and it was so delicious I had to get another one to go.

I think I may have found my new favorite place for braised duck noodle soup (mi vit tiem). I've searched high and low for some good options but most places don't get it quite right. This one comes close though as they give you a good amount of noodles and veggies. My only real gripe is the tiny duck leg. But that might have been my luck for getting a small one. The broth is where it's at. Win or lose it's in the taste of that slow cooked broth. Most places either make it really brand or not strong enough since mi vit tiem contains mostly Chinese herbal ingredients. Another plus is the amount of shiitake mushrooms you get. They're not cheap with the ingredients for sure. Service is fast and friendly and you can see the owner roaming around and checking on everyone. Overall great experience and will definitely be back for more of that amazing broth!

“Authentic Vietnamese comfort food!” Hu Tieu Mi Gia hits the spot every time. Their hu tieu and mi dishes are packed with flavor, and the broth is rich, clear, and not too salty just like how it’s done back home. I tried the Hu Tieu Mi Gia with soup were amazing. The noodles had great texture, and the pork, wontons were fresh and well-seasoned. The place is clean, service is fast, and the portions are generous for the price. I also appreciated how friendly and efficient the staff were. If you're craving a warm, comforting bowl of Vietnamese noodles, this is the place to go!

I am a picky eater and almost never leave a food review unless it is something truly special. I grew up in District 5 in Saigon eating Mì Hoành Thánh (Egg Noodle w/Wonton Soup) from a varieties of street venders in my hometown and the dish holds a special place in my life. Since I moved to the US for the past 12 years and 6 years in Houston, I have yet to find a single place to offer the correct flavor of this dish, and I tried almost every Chinese/Vietnamese noodle stalls in Houston and always came home disappointed. Every year I travel back to Saigon, Vietnam and go to Q5 to eat this dish, sometimes multiple times a week. De Nhat Mi Gia is the only place I have tried in the US to be able to deliver this dish with the right flavor and ingredients like the ones I had off the street in Q5, Saigon. They nailed the noodle, the tóp mỡ, the mixing soy sauce, the wonton filling, the soup broth. If you are a fan of Mì Tàu, this is the best spot in Houston to get that authentic flavor.

Bonus: their Bột Chiên is also the best I ever got in Houston, the only complaint is the lack of shredded papaya (đu đủ), but they nailed the dish and...

I called to order my to go order at 11:17am, i got here at 11:27am, at 11:40am they said they forgot my order at the cash register. Apparently they printed my order and left it there. They didn’t notice it until I questioned them. I was gonna leave without my food because I have to pick up my kids at noon. They apologized & begged me to wait and I feel bad for them. I ended up picking up my kids late.

UPDATED Review on 7/20: It took a while before I decided to give this restaurant another try. We took my family, party of 10, 4 adults and 6 kids to lunch today and it was an awesome experience. From the moment we had walked in, we were greeted with very friendly staffs. The ordering process was so easy & quick. The staffs were very helpful in explaining to my family the items on the menu. The food came out correctly & accordingly. All in all the staffs were very attentive & accommodating. We were all very satisfied. Management definitely improved the service quality which is most important to me. One of the workers, Thao, took really good care of us. We shared the same name so I definitely...
