Very clean that’s for sure. Went there on a Friday around 2 PM there wasn’t that many people. I was looking forward to the food, but it wasn’t as great as I thought, it wasn’t horrible either, but for a restaurant you would expect taste. I Had a shrimp cocktail and it was Liquidy and bland. It needed more season so I ended up putting Tabasco, ketchup, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce they had all of that on the table. The shrimp was de-veined so that’s a plus. The music they were playing there was unpleasant and obnoxious. The atmosphere felt like it was a more of a bar so I can imagine when it actually is busy on a weekend. The booths are to separated from the table, which is very uncomfortable for eating. There was a manager there, but not once Did he greet customers or asked how the food was especially since they’re starting I would assume they want to know how they’re doing. This place I believe it’s more for customers who just want to eat and drink rather than actually eat good food. So, I recommend it for those type...

So, i told Christian i would leave a review. I stopped in, ordered a dozen oysters, reminded me of Captain Bennys but better, a nice good horseradish, my only recommendation would be to take the cocktail sauce up a notch, however if you favo something that is between a cocktail sauce and ketchup, it fairs nicely. The gumbo taste wise was spot on, he flavor is all there, ( my input..a little color with some bellpepper or greenery, ochre etc would elevate it...) i ordered a single catfish filet...that was on point, i would elevate the tartar sauce, but it was a standard. Its greqt to see they were doing a good business, i percieve them to get busier..they are on the right track. A freclnch bread and butter would be even more exciting but crackers are always a go to..i plan on going back to try the other items...give this place a try, good people, great food, they deserve...

We saw this place and wanted to try it out, we visited a website to see the menu but it turned out it was the website for El Barquito in Cut and Shoot. So we went in and already planned what we were going to order based on what we saw on the menu and to our surprise the menu was totally different. We decided we give it a try regardless. We ordered the stuff jalapenos for appetizer and the El Capitan for our main course which came with 2 catfish filets, 4 shrimps, hushpuppies and fries. Everything was fried, it was crispy and tasted good. We would have liked to order a side salad but we didn't see salad on the menu. Most of the dishes are fried. Service was good the waitress came to check on us...

Customer service was poor. We came at a time when only three tables had people. After our food came the server did not come by to even ask how things were going or if we needed anything. Food was bland and flavorless. Ate my food because I had to pay for it. First and last time coming to this restaurant.
