El Papaturro — Restaurant in Houston

The place is clean but, the way they clean the tables is unsanitary. I saw a server cleaning the tables an she dumped the salsas and the curtido in to the same container with the dirty dishes. Of course you know they are going to use this bottles of salsa whit someone else. That was just for saving time on cleaning. After all she didn't wash her hands. Moreover, I got sick immediately after eating there. I believe was a bacteria on the water fontaine because I got this few years ago I can tell. Although I was a regular customer and I know that they included the tip automatically it's on the bill but now every time you ask for the bill, they just told the total amount but never in paper. I went to the cashier in order to have my bill and she do the same thing. I have always asked and never gotten. So, conclusion you can go places like El carbonero, Melita's, Los pipiles etc. To enjoy the same food but...

The waits have gotten ridiculous. They dont pick up 30% of the time when trying to place an order. When they do pick up if they tell you the order will be ready in 20 minutes, it will be ready in 50 minutes. If they tell you 40 minutes, it 1 hour and 30 minutes. But after today they will no longer receive my business. I placed a order for 2 pupusas Rice of Beans with cheese and fries. I placed the order at 7:35pm and they said it will be ready in 30 minutes. I show up at 8:25 and its still not ready. I tell them if i dont receive my order now i will leave. They go to the back and five minutes later they come back with my order. I get home and theyre corn pupusas not rice. Did they just give me someone elses order when I threatened to leave? I dont know. Loved coming to this place but the wait has gotten bad. No longer coming here. It does not take 1 hour for 2 pupusas when they only had 3 tables occupied...

Very disappointed that they do not offer curbside even though they clearly have a sign that says curbside. False advertisment. I called and asked and the rude girl seemed bothered by my question. She said no curbside because how will you pay. I told her if I paid cash could they do curbside for me and her answer was no you will have to come inside. Since they didn't want my business and were not willing to meet a customer in the middle I took my business else where. I called La fuente pupusas on Irvington and guess what, the lady at that business said sure I will do it for you and when I asked if I had to pay cash she said which ever you prefer. If you pay with card I can bring machine out to you. La Fuente was willing to go above and beyond. Papaturro we are going through a pandemic. You should be offering curbside and meeting your customers needs. You should be doing better than...
