I took the wife there and the owner came by and was super sweet and very personable. The menu was mostly pork though and we don't eat pork products. Not our preference. She explained a lot of the items to us. We ended up getting the grape leaf stuffed beef entree which goes into a lettuce wrap with other veggies and mango slices. It was really good! She kept saying how healthy this generation was and that's what they usually get. We had hot coffee which was really good as well!
As we were eating my wife thought she found hair in the food and got totally put off. I come up to the counter to pay and leave. I mention to the owner that we had found hair in our food and she immediately sprung into action. She came to our table to see what it was. She ran back into the kitchen (we are perplexed at this point) and comes running back with strands of lemon grass in her hand. She said, when lemon grass strands are cooked, they turn darker which resemble hair strands. She kept saying how her food is clean and healthy. When i peeked into the kitchen, everything did look very neat and clean. She explained all this to me in great detail and took her time, which she didn't need to. Not only does this spot serve up some of the most flavorful and decadent Vietnamese cuisine I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting, but their banh mi is also a must-try. Read moreI recently dined at Faith Com Grill, and it was exceptional from start to finish. The authenticity and flavor of the Vietnamese dishes were outstanding.
I tried cơm tấm (broken rice with grilled pork), and bún thịt nướng, (vermicelli dish with grilled pork and lamb). Both were absolutely delicious. Cơm tấm was savory and perfectly cooked, while bún thịt nướng was a revelation. The lamb was so delicious and tender, adding a unique twist to the traditional dish. I’ve never had lamb in bún thịt nướng before, and it was truly special.
The owner, a passionate and knowledgeable woman, personally explained the dishes to us, adding a rich layer of context and appreciation. It's rare to find such dedication and love for the food being served.
To me, Faith Com Grill is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Houston. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience true Vietnamese flavors. It's clear that every dish is crafted with care and...
