We went on Sunday, 4-16, and were greeted by friendly staff in a super clean restaurant. Unfortunately they were out of marshmallow topping, whipped cream, and boba, but we still enjoyed the Cookie Monster and Camo Thai Tea. The tiny spoons they give you for a tall and skinny cup are kind of an odd choice, but I guess you’re supposed to let it melt and drink it as a non slushie? The #5 box (chicken tenders and fries) was tasty, but again the serving utensils are awkward. Cutting a long chicken tender into shareable pieces with a plastic fork and no knives available is odd - but I’ve lived through worse I suppose The kicker is that they were ALSO OUT OF NAPKINS so after we ate our garlic butter fries and hand shredded the bbq slathered chicken tenders, we had to ask the staff for napkins to which they graciously dug out of some drink prep cabinet and rationed them out singularly as the entire restaurant asked The staff was kind and attentive, the place was clean and cool, but management must be on some space cadet venture when it comes to inventory & supplies. TLDR: you can find better drinks and better snacks (and better utensils) for a better price at 100 different shops within a mile.

I pass by here all the time Fridays and weekends always packed so finally got a chance today, Monday. Drinks, delicious. Split cucumber and cherry limeade, was great, fresh and perfect. Watermelon slush was delicious, compared to other places fresh and crisp. Food, elote with hot Cheetos, delicious perfect roast taste. Enough for 2 to share but you won't want to. Popcorn chicken box, salt and pepper was "ew". Chicken was too chewy almost sweet, lots of fat they were not good at all. Fries were thin and crispy with Cajun seasoning, they were very good. Service was ok, she wasn't friendly or rude, just not helpful, I'm sure she could tell when ordering we had never been tjere, she didn't try to explain or suggest or anything just a "c'mon" type tude. Price, pretty pricey most drink about $5, Chicken box was about $14 Would totally come back for the elote, fries and drinks. Seems like i nice hang out just small, can't imagine how packed it must feel on weekend, has a few tables and chairs outside as well.

Tasty mangonada but terrible cashier service - minus two stars 🌟🌟 I was told a small mangonada was $6.00 even so I paid $21.00 cash ($20 and $1) to get back $15.00...I don't like change. The cashier handed me back $1 and I explained to her I would like $15.00 even. She the proceeds to tell me it's $6.22 and starts breaking out change (?!) I then tell her I have 22 cents and she's still breaking out change. She takes the 22 cents and gives me 2 $5s and 5 $1s 🤔🤨😐😑🙄🤐😡🤬💀 It's scary knowing that people that deal with cash don't understand how to manage cash, or numbers for that matter. That aside, the mangonada was surprisingly good... Very nicely peeled mango on top and a tasty drink, better than most Mexican fruit stands. The only thing missing was the showmanship of a Mexican fruit stand... Felt too corporate/Starbucks - like. I'll be returning but I'll pay with a debit card next time like everyone else that is number challenged.

I am really disgusted with this place. Just some background on the current issue that keeps me away from this place goes back to when they first opened. My friends mom got a job here working in the back after quitting her last job, due to them taking advantage of her financially. My friends mom is older, but tht lady can put in work! She refuses to be judge by her age in her quality of work. She has done the jobs that me and you would walk from, such as dish washing. I am angry and exteremly dissappointed that the owners of this place would let her go AFTER HARVEY with no explanation and sympathy. My friends mom contacted them after Harvey to see what days she would be working. They did not answer her calls nor return any of her calls. Not until she made a personal visit did they give her check and told her "Not to come back." YES thats exactly what they said. After such a devestation for the city, I am sure they suffered some loss in the business property and in their own personal belongings. I AM SURE that is the reason why she was let go to cut back on payroll. As you can see I am using my inferences for the reasoning of her departure from Zero Degrees, because when she asked why they were letting her go they REFUSED to let her know. I AM DISGUSTED! You call yourself a business? I would not be surprised if she was not the only one who was let go without a proper reason. I WANT ANSWERS!! If this is how you treat the people that keep your business running. I wonder how you see your customers. For anyone that wants to come here please RECONSIDER. other areas in the shopping center. DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO STINGY MONEY OWNERS. Not only did you lose a hard worker but, you have lost all respect in the community. If anyone would like to reach out to me and clarify this situation. I would love to talk on how you all initiated this situation and why you thought this was the best possible way...

My rating does not take into account the wait time since it is not something I feel should be considered for a new business with a lot of hype, it's something to be expected.

Rather, the rating will focus on 3 categories I feel are most important to a tea house.

Customer service:

the cashier was friendly despite the store being open for 1.5 hours past close time, and the manager was very friendly and definitely made me feel invited. Fun and cool guy to talk to!

Ambiance:

This teahouse has opted to take a more modern design to appeal to its younger demographic, with warm lights greeting you and all the latest pop hits playing in the background, it definitely has the qualities to be a hangout destination for you and your friends.

(Most important) Taste/Quality of Ingredients:

I got the split cup of Machata and early grey milk tea. For both drinks, if there is an improvement in the quality of ingredients I personally cannot tell the difference between your standard tea shop, so that was disappointing.

With regards to taste, it was disappointing to say the least, and even more so considering you're waiting i waited in line for over an hour only to be met with a subpar flavor. One of the bad things about long lines is that your expectations are sometimes overzealous.

The earl grey milk tea just tasted literally like milk and black tea mixed together, very bland and unenjoyable. I didn't expect the name of the drink to be so literal with regards to the taste. The machata had a watery consistency and taste and an all together forgettable taste.

This category carried the most weight for me which is why I think 3/5 is a very fair rating for the...

“Zero Star” is a more appropriate name for this place. Don’t even bother trying to substitute a single ingredient —not going to happen. My boyfriend always orders the mangonada with strawberries on top instead of mangos at the Katy location but it doesn’t fly here so he cancelled his order. I asked for cucumber lime drink I simply asked for very light on sugar and the guy once again said NOPE can’t do that. So I changed my drink to Thai milk tea and decided to cancel before I paid. He said it’s already made but the drink was not ready at all. So I ended up paying for the classic elotes and 1 drink. When it was all ready, my boyfriend’s drink (mangonada came with no strawberries) and mind you he already cancelled his order but my drink was not made. To make matters worse they put the spice containers directly on top of the food. My goodness, do they not know how dirty the bottom of those plastic containers are??! The Katy location is beyond five stars. This location is definitely not worth coming to. I understand they have different owners (that’s what I was told by the guy who keeps saying NO) but it’s a franchise and still with the same name you would expect it would be the same menu and same type of customer service but we...
