DECEPTIVE MARKETING...... JUST.
This review is based solely on my experience and personal opinion.
We went to this First Watch location on a Monday morning, 12/6/21, and it was our first time.
FOOD: We ordered one portion of Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, one portion of Blueberry pancakes, one portion of scrambled eggs and a side of fresh fruit. LEMON RICOTTA PANCAKES= somehow stogy and dense. They had Ricotta cheese filling, but it was so little you could barely taste it. On top they had some lemon curd, but you could taste the artificial lemon flavoring. Not worth the price tag. BLUEBERRY PANCAKES= How can you mess Blueberry pancakes?? they managed to do that. Pancakes where stogy and dense, yes these too, and they had a weird flavor. I called one of the waiters and I asked him if the Pancakes were made with "natural" ingredients... Eggs, milk, butter, flour.... he came back to me few minutes later saying the Pancakes were made with a mix of flours, eggs and milk..... about ten minutes later he came back to me saying that the Pancakes were made with Pancake flour mix, SOME milk and SOME eggs..... NOW, I love pancakes and I had high expectations from First Watch as they are everywhere on social media advertising and marketing their restaurants as great food and great ingredients.... Well... my experience was very different as my Pancakes were stogy, dense and did not have the flavor of fresh/genuine ingredients. SCRAMBLED EGGS= nice scrambled eggs.... soft but NOT mushy. FRESH FRUIT= a good mix of fresh fruit. I liked it.
BEVERAGES: Coffee was good, intense flavor. They gave me half and half even thought I had asked them, once again, some fresh whole milk.
STAFF: they were all nice, friendly and welcoming. customer experience wise Staff were great.
CLEANLINESS: When we went the place was clean and the restrooms were clean too. All the table and the chairs were clean and the guys would clean right after customers.
PLEACE: We liked the place, very nice, country/industrial style.... some cool décor and some amazing designs. They have semi-open boots for a little bit more privacy and they have tables right in the middle of the big room for bigger groups or friends gatherings. Overall it is a great looking restaurant, vert well designed.
PRICES: a little bit higher than the average, for the same food of course. the ratio quality/price is lil low.
CONCLUSIONS: Not sure I would go back, at least not for the Pancakes. I did appreciate the honesty of the...
Read moreSitting at the end-cap of a shopping center, on Beechnut near Meyerland, this restaurant is easy to pass by and not be noticed. I am an avid yelper and my girlfriend is quite a bit of a breakfast person, so after finding this and seeing the pics, we gave it a shot. It's a very friendly & relaxed environment, the decor was trendy, but current and welcoming. After looking at the menus, we were quite impressed and found multiple options that we each wanted to try. We will be returning, condo just that. She first ordered the morning meditation drink and said it was delicious. She also mentioned that the ingredients are all supposed to have qualities that help with hangovers. I ordered the Tri-athlete breakfast plate and it was really good, egg white omelet, with fresh mushrooms & some.other goodies. All of the ingredients tasted fresh, & it had a little spice to it, too. My girlfriend ordered the A.M. Superfood bowl, which had a lot of really healthy ingredients, like Chia seeds, which are supposed to have a ton of nutritional value. We finished everything we ordered. I even had a chance to try her bowl, and not being a big yogurt fan, I really enjoyed it. I would recommend going. We will be returning to this restaurant to try the other things we saw...

This isn't just any avocado toast; it's a well-crafted blend of creamy avocado spread generously over crisp, fresh bread. And the secret touch? A squeeze of lemon for that zesty kick – it elevates the whole dish to a new level of deliciousness.
The toast came paired with two perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, making for a satisfying and wholesome meal. It's the kind of breakfast that not only tastes good but also feels nourishing and hearty.
Now, let's talk about their coffee. If you're a coffee lover, you're in for a treat. It's unlimited (yes, unlimited!), rich, and has a robust kick to it that's just perfect for starting your day right.
And the cherry on top? The service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure our experience was top-notch from start to finish. It's always great to see a restaurant that doesn't just serve great food but also knows how to take care of its customers.
In summary, First Watch nailed it with their famous avocado toast and the overall dining experience. It's a place I'd happily recommend to anyone looking for a delightful brunch spot. Definitely...
