I am GAZOOT for Gagootz!!

I had the distinct pleasure of going to this down-to-earth, relaxing, Italian and Mexican restaurant/bar recently. What a find! On my first visit, I got to meet Eduardo (the restaurant owner and manager) where I got to learn about his family lineage of Italians who have a proven track record of running a successful Italian restaurant business in Katy for over the past 30+ years. Eduardo is a professional who takes pride in everything that he sets out to do. He is courteous and unmistakably thoughtful/kind. He is also quite the conversationalist. There is no doubt that Eduardo is creating something very special at Gagootz!

If you happen to be looking for an eclectic and enjoyable dining/drink spot, look no further than Gagootz. The interior decor is super interesting! A few examples are a vintage European painting, a Frida Kahlo masterpiece, an actual Julius Caesar statue head, and even an old photograph and quote on the wall from Al Capone himself! Gagootz will CERTAINLY be giving the Monkey’s Tail (located just kitty corner across the street on Fulton St.) a run for its money.

Aside from the outstanding customer service, I cannot emphasize enough how amazing the food quality is here. The items that Eduardo and his chef prepare in their kitchen is magical (no kidding!). This is one of the top reasons that I feel makes Gagootz a standout in this part of Houston. In addition to a diverse food menu, Gagootz also offers an extensive drink menu that ensures that there will always be something for everyone. Oh, and for those who have a slightly more spicy taste palette in the food department? I welcome you to Gagootz!

Although the place is currently in its infancy, developments and improvements are quickly being made! The addition of a new TV makes catching sports affairs an easy task. An added bonus is that there is both indoor and outdoor seating. And lastly, the place is kid friendly, so parents, what are you waiting for!?

Seriously a diamond in the rough. I came here a few weeks ago for drinks and promised the bartender I would come back for the food... I have to say I have been disappointed in the quality of fare in Houston over the past few years. Everything has become fast food but for Gagootz. Have been coming here since they opened. Eduardo the owner/bartender is amazing. The atmosphere is exceptional and the food and drinks are to die for. The overall experience is beyond this world. Eduardo is amazing and treats everyone like family. His staff is very attentive and the establishment is very clean and provides a little bit of everything for everyone.
