Paid $12 and got all rice. Very little lamb. Jones Fried Chicken falls short of expectations, earning a disappointing two-star rating in this review. The dining experience is marred by several shortcomings that collectively contribute to a lackluster impression. One glaring issue is the disproportionate ratio of rice to meat in their dishes. The menu promises a satisfying blend of flavors, but the reality falls short as customers are met with a plate dominated by an overwhelming amount of rice and scant portions of meat. This imbalance not only leaves patrons feeling unsatisfied but also raises questions about the restaurant's commitment to delivering a well-rounded and fulfilling food. A successful dining experience relies not only on the quality of the food but also on the service, and in this regard, Jones Fried Chicken falls short. Adding insult to injury is the pricing structure, which does not align with the quality of the food being served. The cost of the dishes at Jones Fried Chicken is notably high, especially considering the subpar quality of the meals. Patrons are left questioning the value for money, as the premium prices do not reflect the taste, portion sizes, or overall dining experience offered by the establishment. This pricing misalignment further contributes to the disappointment associated with a visit to Jones Fried Chicken. Delving deeper into the culinary aspect, the low quality of the food is a significant letdown. The flavors lack depth, and the overall execution fails to impress discerning taste buds. The lack of attention to detail in the preparation and seasoning of the dishes is evident, resulting in a forgettable and unremarkable gastronomic journey. Jones Fried Chicken seems to prioritize quantity over quality, sacrificing the essence of a truly enjoyable dining experience. While some may argue that fast-food establishments are not expected to deliver gourmet experiences, there is a baseline expectation for a certain level of taste and satisfaction. Unfortunately, Jones Fried Chicken misses the mark, leaving customers with a regrettable aftertaste that lingers long after the meal has concluded. In conclusion, Jones Fried Chicken's two-star rating is a reflection of multiple shortcomings that collectively tarnish the dining experience. The unappealing rice-to-meat ratio, lack of customer service, overpricing for the quality of food, and subpar culinary execution contribute to a less-than-pleasurable visit. For those seeking a truly satisfying and enjoyable fast-food experience, it may be prudent to explore alternative dining options that prioritize both quality and value for money.

Had the worst experience at Jones today. I ordered four chicken and lamb over rice. After receiving my order, I noticed that both the big and small boxes had the same white sauce container. When I asked for extra sauce, they refused, stating that it would cost an additional $0.75 for each sauce, even though it should be free. Its Ramadan and I’m about to break my fast in an hour, so didn't want to argue, so I agreed to pay with my credit card. However, they said they charge a minimum of $5 for card transactions. I swear to Allah If I had cash, I would have paid just to move on but I didn't. I kept asking the manager what they wanted me to do, I’ll look stupid spending $5 on sauce despite everything the manager said I should deal with it next time bring cash or request extra sauce ahead of time. How would I know I need extra sauce in advance?? I’m deeply disappointed by how I was treated and how they made a big deal out of $0.75 where I had spent $50. I don't believe I deserved such treatment, and I urge jone management to train your staff on how to deal customers with respect. I’ll never come back and try my best friends and family not to go there anymore.

100% Fraud hands down. I when to order inside after placing the order and paying. I was looking over the menu then noticed they over charged me when I told them they said that that's how there boss has put the prices in the system and on the menu the price is lower and that this happens all the time and they can't do anything about it. Saying they don't understand why their boss dose this and has a lot of money from this, said the employee, which I find this horrible that they are basically stealing from people thinking they won't notice. I won't mind paying the prices that will actually be on the menu even if they're a little higher, but unfortunately, here they are just scamming you, very sad. Be very careful. If you decide to go here, they will steal your money. Also, food quality is not good, and they place is a little run down. The last time I went here.

There are times in your life where you have to check your priorities and see what matters most to you. So sit back and ponder for a moment...what matters most to you? Is it food, service, or atmosphere?

FOOD: If food is all that matters to you, and only food, then I can tell you the food is a 4.5 star affair. Maybe even a 5 star affair. You can quit reading this review and hop in your car and drive up there right now and be happy because the food is incredible. Easily in the top 3 for me for my chicken over rice fix in the city.

ATMOSPHERE: If this is your thing, prepare to be unimpressed, the building has definitely seen some better days, the signage could definitely use a facelift, and the building needs some serious TLC. Its not pretty. The interior reminds me of my old middle school cafeteria, and its not the cleanest place in the world . All in all the atmosphere is about as exciting as sitting in a 2001 Toyota Camry parked under some chubby birds or maybe more accurately its about as exciting as eating in the middle of the DPS waiting on your driver's license to be renewed.

SERVICE: If you are sensitive to bad service, stay away. If you're more thick skinned like me, you'll be okay especially if you love amazing food above all else. Now to be fair, it sounds like the business itself may have had a recent string of bad customers who have screwed them over in the past, and they are paranoid about it. I dont know. But basically I handed my debit card to the cashier and I wasnt sure if I was supposed to enter my PIN, or sign the receipt, or if there wasnt a signature required at all (because different places have different POS systems). It was taking a while to get the receipt and while we were waiting I simply asked if I needed to sign anything and I was gonna ask if they needed me to put in my PIN to which the cashier said "Of course you do sir. I dont know if you will dispute this transaction or not if you don't sign it" I started laughing, I was like "huh? People actually dispute charges with you guys?" and she said "yes". "no worries, I wont do that", I replied. She said "I dont know that sir." I laughed again and told her to let me sign the slip so she could be assured that everything will be okay. Also sidenote, they do not accept purchases of less than $10 on debit or credit., so either bring cash or be ready to buy some extra stuff to avoid the inconvenience of having to go to an ATM. Anyways it was mildly funny to me, but things like that would definitely bother some people, but I'll still be going back haha.

TLDR; Come here if all you care about is good food. Avoid if you dont like bad service and...

The reason why I rate it 1 star (and NOT 5 stars) is because I KNOW how tough it can be to prepare all that food, and then cook it to the customer’s preference all day/ night long. But unfortunately, their customer service TRULY SUCKS. The food is good, but their customer service is not very well at all. I only remember ONE Black African young lady (with pretty lipstick) that always served us right, no matter the time! Kudos to her! She was the ONLY Cashier at this place that provided awesome customer service, was very kind, and ATTENTIVE. 👏🏽

Other than her, everyone else there lacks professionalism and good customer service — ESPECIALLY this one VERY short Hispanic looking guy with a Black beard and Black hair. He has very BAD attitude and he makes “faces”/ snaps at you whenever ordering or asking for something as simple as a fork.

Recently, I experienced very bad service from this guy when I asked him to ring up an extra white sauce and BBQ sauce (that only cost $0.50 each/ $1 total). I have no problem with the additional condiment charge, but I do have an issue with their “$10 MINIMUM (🙄) for the usage of credit/ debit cards” here. Dude refused to charge my card for the extra sauces, all because of that stupid $10 minimum rule. Mind you, we’d just purchased $11 - $12 on our order with them.

I understand it was our fault for not pre-ordering the extra sauces ahead of time. I had no cash, but it was VERY APPARENT that dude didn’t want to help or serve me. I asked, “How about we refund the entire order and then buy the items all over again (including the extra sauces)?” Dude rudely interrupted and replied, “Nope.” And when I asked to speak with his Manager or someone else in charge, he told me no one else was present and then SLAMMED the drive-thru window shut (👀). So I stood there for an additional 10 - 13 minutes, until someone came back to the window. When Dude finally came back, I handed him over all the items and asked for a refund. I no longer trusted or wanted whatever he gave us in that cheap plastic bag. 👎🏽

This place NEEDS to get it together with their customer service AND debit/ credit card usage rules. This place seems to get a very broad number of regular/ new customers, and it’s about TIME that they DON’T CHARGE for debit/ credit card usage. Not even your local mom-and-pop shop charges for this mess (🙄)! Like, go find a new bank/ provider that won’t charge too much money for your debit/ credit card terminal and services, so that you have more customers use their cards freely with no...
