Kabab Shako Mako (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Houston

Ordered the lamb tikka and a Babbaghanouj from them for a late dinner and the first thing I noticed was how professional these guys looked in their black chef coats. Very courteous and welcoming guys and greeted me right away.

I had already ordered from another truck but wanted to try their food and the lamb tikka did not disappoint at all. Perfectly seasoned, tender, just the right amount of fat and cooked just right. The Babbaghanouj was good as well - creamy, flavorful, garnished w parsley and just the right amount of garlic. I would’ve preferred the Babba to be more smoky flavored and chunky but this was good too.

It was a To-Go order so they made sure I had enough bread, napkins and utensils and guy explained that they had everything neatly in my bag.

Great customer service, very good food and attention to detail. I only wish their food truck was towards the front so they get better visibility at this...

I went to two food trucks in this lot today, and this was the better of the two in my opinion. I had the Iraqi Kabab sandwich and a side of fries. The sandwich was quite good - the ground beef was well seasoned, tender, and incredibly juicy. It had some tomato, onion, and herbs in the sandwich that rounded it out nicely. For $9, it's ok in terms of value. It's not a huge sandwich. Just a tightly wrapped thin pita bread that's rolled to the thickness of the kabab filling inside of it. The fries on the other hand blew me away. I was eating in my car alone and I very loudly moaned after the first bite. I'm ashamed to admit that I spilled half the fries on the floor of my car and cleaned them all up and ate them anyways... Customer service was great, seems like they all speak Arabic but they were friendly to me over the phone when I called to see if there was a wait as well. Great food truck, I'll...
