Al Reem Halal (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Houston

I previously rated this place five stars when I left a review 2 years ago but since then there have been a lot of changes. I called ahead and ordered a Chicken Shawarma Arabi Plate. I was surprised when I got there because they have a new truck and it's very welcoming, but when I went up to pay for my order they had instead prepared a Beef Shawarma Plate! It wasn't what I ordered but I still accepted it and it tastes great but instead of Pickles I got Coleslaw in my order! I'm slightly annoyed and disappointed because I drove 13 miles to get there at 1 am because their food is usually very good and I trust them!

I have loved ordering food from here for over 2 years, and I will update the review if the experiences continue to be good! Also over the years the prices have gone up but I'm not blaming the business for that, just mentioning it because my original review below talks about the price.

First review (2022): "I usually order a plate of the chicken zinger sandwich, and the food is always fulfilling! The taste is delicious and consistent and their pickles are amazing! We have tried most of the food trucks in the area. Hands down one of the worst experiences we have faced and food quality is lacking.

1. got charged $80 for 5 items that were $14 each, which should of been $70. I asked for an itemized receipt and it showed one line item cost of 80+tax+the tip left. So truly overcharged.

2. Food was terrible. We got a burger, overcooked, meat is from packaged frozen patties with no flavor. Chicken tenders are also packaged and fried. Fries soggy and oily, worst fries I have had in years. I strongly believe if you put an item on your menu as a food truck and can charge a premium on fast food location then it must be fresh and hand made with dedication. I was extremely disappointed.

3. I was told the order will take 10min, 25min later got the order.

4. We have a family of 7 and not one person liked the food, I walked by to speak to them about my experience and they didn’t care to listen.
