Kolache Factory — Restaurant in Houston

⭐ NEVER. EVER. AGAIN IN MY LIFE!!!!. 🤢😭 The guy at the front counter was nice — bless his heart — but that’s where the good part ends. I ordered an enchilada kolache that was supposed to be heated, but it came out cold. I figured, okay fine, I’ll deal with it.

Halfway through eating, I feel something strange in my mouth… I pull it out… and it’s a stand of BLACK HAIR in the food. 😭🤮 I literally froze mid-bite. My stomach dropped. My brain short-circuited.

You cannot imagine the horror of realizing you’ve been chewing on someone’s hair. I wanted to scream. I wanted to cry. There’s NO amount of anything that can erase that moment from my mind.

This experience was beyond disgusting — it was traumatizing. I don’t care how polite the staff is, this location is done for me. I’ll stick with the Sugar Land and Missouri City stores from now on. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!! Lord help me… that hair in the kolache ended my appetite for this location...

The two stars are for the kolaches, they were pretty great. However the employees were much less so. Upon arriving there were two girls walking out possibly getting off their shift. And another girl plastered to the window fake crying and causing a scene. That aside we come into the shop ready for some breakfast and the gal behind the counter was much less ready for anything. Did not smile, did not greet us, only asked us what we wanted and continued to have a poor attitude. We had ordered four kolaches and a cinnamon roll. She only rang up three. She did however warm them up for us, but not without giving some major glares and stares. I’m not saying I won’t ever be going back, because the kolaches were really good! However I do hope these girls learn how to properly treat a customer.

Kolache factory provides a complete breakfast all in 1 bite. With assorted options and variations my favorite is the chorizo and egg Kolache. You would think the chorizo and egg from Kolache factory would be very commercial and not Mexican authentic.However you would be wrong. It is packed with flavor and taste almost exactly how my mom made it as a kid. I come here 3 times a week as it is my wife’s favorite breakfast. My wife orders sausage and cheese and my kids love egg and cheese. Jalepeno popper is a must order as well. The staff is so quick and attentive. Always curious. If you’re looking for something different besides tacos in the morning give Kolache...
