This is a great location for a taco place! I had been waiting for this place to open for weeks now as I pass it everyday for work! I am giving it 4 stars for a few reasons. When I first walked in there was a lone of 3 people at the register with no one there helping them. So it seems that under staffing is already an issue. It took a while to get everyone through the line once someone came to help. I also didn't see any menus to look at while standing in line. Once it was my turn I said it was first time coming to Liberty Taco and they said "Cool." And that was all. So I had to stand there and figure out what I wanted without any help as to what was best to order. I got the chicken tinga and the Texas brisket which were both very very tasty! I will say that the chicken tinga was a bit too juicy and dripped all over my hands and plate! But it was well worth it! As for the sauces include they were both very good! I do think though that too many of the tacos to choose from had slaw on the taco which isn't even that common for a taco. But most of the tacos had the same ingredients just in different combos with the choice of meat! That being said I did enjoy the cool draft style coke machine and I tried most of them and they were perfectly tasteful! As for the decoration it was very well decorated and made for a cool feel! I will definitely come back and try some of the more unorthodox tacos like the kimchi one! Either way well done on making a taking place worth going back to!

Stopped by Liberty Taco for a to-go order, and it completely hit the spot. The service was fast and friendly. My order was ready quickly, and the staff was welcoming even though I didn't dine in. I ordered the chips and queso with Tejano beef and sour cream and yessirskii it was fulfilling. Instead of using the chips they offered which were good. I used Doritos lime flaming hot chips. That combo took it to another level. The queso was rich and creamy, and the beef added just the right amount of flavor and spice. The sour cream balanced it all out perfectly. Honestly, I could eat that every day seriously!! The chicken fajita tacos were just as solid juicy, flavorful chicken with nicely charred edges, wrapped in warm, soft tortillas. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. Even just walking in for pickup, I noticed the space is bright, clean, and inviting definitely somewhere l'd return to for a casual dine-in meal. Great food, great service, and a great vibe. Liberty Taco is absolutely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Friday night dinner and there's ONE non-kitchen person working the register and floor. Stood in a long line waiting to pay for my pickup that was cold by the time I got it - no surprise there. Oh, did I mention that they also left out our $10 salad and shorted us one taco? We tried to call, no answer. So we had to go back to the restaurant and wait again, and then THEY DIDN'T BELIEVE US. Since there was no printed receipt (you had to give them your email or phone number to get a receipt and I didn't want to give it), they actually made us take a picture of what we got to prove we never got what we paid for. Seriously? I hate giving places one star but in this case, they definitely earned it. There are too many good restaurants in Houston to waste money on a company who treats customers like garbage. I will not be going back, which is a shame because it's convenient and we love tacos. Absolutely terrible management of the restaurant.

I am writing this review as a frequent customer of this location. On January 8, around 730pm, I had stopped in from work to order some food to take home. I ordered chips and queso with extra queso fresco on the side, and a Baja shrimp taco. I paid for my order and sat down. When my order was ready, the hispanic young lady brings my order to me. I asked her, did you make sure there was extra queso fresco that I requested. She looked confused and said I don't know what you mean. Then I said, "Well usually when I request extra queso fresco, the put it in a small container to go". She then says, but your meal comes with queso fresco. I then say, yes I know which is why I requested extra to-go. She then says, well let me ask one of the guys here. I thought she was going to go to the back to ask the cook but she proceeds to go to a guy who is sitting at a table with a young lady who has birthday balloons and birthday decorations on the window. She tells both the young lady and the guy I assume what I was wanting and they both look at me, which made me uncomfortable. Then she came back to me and stated, " I don't know how to speak Spanish to tell them what you want ". Obviously, this hispanic girl was determined to not help me so I left and went to the Richmond location where I was met with the nicest woman ever, Holly. I ordered one taco with two extra queso fresco. Holly gladly charged me for the fresco and when my order was ready, there was one queso fresco in the bag. She went to the cook in the back who gladly gave her the second queso fresco. The cook then looked at me and gave me a smile with a thumbs up. I don't understand why the young lady at the Old Spanish Trail location couldnt give me the item that I requested but she definitely needs more training. I will not be returning to this location bc of there incompetence and inability to problem solve. Im sorry to have ever stopped at this location in the first place....

My coworker and i went in and ordered. I asked the lady cashier which one was the shrimp taco and she said the Baja shrimp and did i want i fried or grilled. She rung it up and gave me order number 11. As i waited this other customer came up and said her taco she ordered was wrong. Probably a couple of minutes later my order was ready. I did check my bag to make sure all the items were in the bag and they were. When i got back to work and begin eating my shrimp taco i noticed it wasn’t shrimp and it was fish. I’m allergic to fish. I called and let them know and the lady said when did i want to come and get it and i said tomorrow. I ended up having to get medicine and another coworker offered to go get the right taco for me today . When he arrived he had to pay for it. And the way the lady i spoke to made it seem like she would just correct my order for me. My coworker stated the manager said oh well i should have checked my food before i left. Which i did check to make sure all items were in the bag. Now I’m still swollen face and told my coworker he could have left the taco there. This will be my last time giving Liberty my money. I’m not to happy with their service and lack of empathy. I also threw up twice and i only ate a bite of the fish taco and i had a Barbacoa taco i believe messed...
