This salon has given me the absolute worst experience that you could get. I WISH I could get my money back. Even when I messaged Mayra to try to remedy the issue, all she did was offer me highlights and stop responding to my messages even though I can -see- that she left my messages on read. I'm SO so disappointed.

The first time I came, I walk in on Saturday at 7pm and am told that the person who dyes hair leaves at 6 on Saturdays. This should've been my first red flag: given all the reviews, I thought it was going to be easy just to walk in. As a university student, it takes me 2 hours roundtrip on a bus to get anywhere so I was already disappointed in needing to make a worthless first trip.

I made an appointment for this past Saturday and came in very hopeful: I'd messaged Mayra, the employee who colors hair, the exact hair style that I'd wanted: a dark brown balayage (Picture 1), my ideal hair, and been told it was only $120 for a balayage and cut. Imagine getting disappointed -again- when she revealed my hair and I realized that I got the exact opposite hair that I'd wanted. It looked -nothing- like the pictures I'd sent her (and showed her beforehand again) and the hairstyle I wanted. All she did was dye my hair, which I could've just done at home.

This was my first time getting my hair colored and I just can't believe how much this salon let me down. I didn't know the standard procedure for a balayage (I do now, and Mayra did not do that) so I trusted my hairdresser and I got a standard light brown dye that I'd desperately wanted to avoid, the generic Korean hair that everyone has. $120 was way too much for this simple hair dye and a total waste of my time. In addition, all she did to cut my hair was run an electric razor through my hair: no styling or anything.

Conclusion: Heavily disappointed university student. Do NOT come here if you're a woman. Only 1 woman hairdresser in the entire store and when I came the first time, there were 4 male employees, not a single female one, and they only offered male haircuts, something not indicated on their website. -Such- a waste of my money. At this point, I just wish I could get my money back to go to a better salon. Now I'm going to have to live with this hair for a year before I can get it cut & my dark hair styled the way I want. I'm never giving this business...

Before I give my review on Asaad and his services, let me tell ya that I am very picky and particular of who I choose to cut my hair. I usually get weird/modern type of hairstyles and not every one is good at doing them... so, I would like to think my positive review has a little bit more detail than your regular "Super Cuts" type of guy.

I've only gone to 2 people in Houston to cut my hair since I moved here 11 yrs ago and the 3rd one is Asaad. The reason I didn't go before, is because I just recently found out about him due to a recommendation.

I drive 30 mins to and back to get a haircut from Asaad because he's super professional, SUPER attention to detail and always takes care of any minor detail I want to adjust or change. I also take my son with him now and I've recommended him to several of my friends too that have started going to get haircuts from him aswell and they all come back saying how satisfied they are with the cut and the service.

I've even had situations where I'm running late and he still tries to make time for my cut and also whenever I'm on a rush and need to squeeze in an appointment, he always tries and finds a way to get me a spot.

It only took me ONE time to tell Asaad what I was looking for my haircut and he nails it every single time I go, without me having to tell him again. I just sit, and he does his thing.
