I used to enjoy LA Burgers & Daiquiris, but after my recent visit, I wonāt be returning. The food was decent, but it didnāt quite hit the spot like I expected. My main issue was with the online ordering system. While the ordering portal is user-friendly, I didnāt receive any notifications about my order. I selected āas soon as possibleā for pick-up, but I received no email or text updates. After waiting for about 20 minutes and checking my credit card, I called to confirm my order, but the phone number was a virtual line with no direct connection to the restaurant.
Upon arriving, there were two people already sitting down and eating, and I was the only new customer. The staff was friendly, but there were some operational issues. I was told they were out of onion rings, which I hadnāt been notified about. When I finally received my fries and burger, the fries were piping hot, which I appreciated, but the lettuce on my burger was wilted.
There was no receipt or confirmation, and when I questioned the fries, the staff seemed unsure about my order. Despite the confusion from the online portal, the staff did a great job handling the situation, and their friendly attitude made the experience more manageable.
Additionally, I had trouble getting ketchup because the seals were still on the bottles.
Despite these issues, the milkshakes at LA Burgers & Daiquiris are great, and Iāve had good experiences with their chicken and fish sandwiches in the past. The key issue here was the lack of communication with the online ordering system. I suggest they improve their notifications to alert customers when their order is ready and when items like onion rings are unavailable.
In summary, while LA Burgers & Daiquiris serves decent food and delicious shakes, they need to improve their online ordering system and customer communication. This experience is not a reflection of the staff, who handled the situation well despite the confusion. Hopefully, they can address these issues for a better experience...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSad to say this but may have to stop coming. We've been coming ever since they've opened, and had no issues except the inconsistent information on prices and deals, and the long wait. Today we called ahead and my sister went to pick up the food. Everything looked thrown together, the meat on the burgers was overcooked with no flavor. Fries were soggy and barely cooked, and the hot dog looked much smaller, was too salty, and didn't fit even fit the bun this time. Not sure what changed but this was just the worst experience we've had since coming here initially.
To top it all off ---- THE BURGER WAS SPOILED š¤¦š½āāļø. I kept smelling something weird on the burger, wasn't sure if it was the cheese or the meat but it made it hard to eat. Finally my sister started eating and tasted the same thing. She almost threw up. We had to throw the whole order away because we didn't want food poisoning. Needless to say, we called back and asked for a manager. They seemed to care less about the situation. Very nonchalant and said they were sorry and would check into it then hung up on us.
This place was something new to the area, and we were excited to have another restaurant option but not at the risk of our healthš¤·š½āāļø. The service could also be MUCH BETTER. Maybe we give it one more try since that was a first time but it won't be any...

My friend, niece, and I decided to check out a good burger spot near the University of Houston, and we came across LA Burgers & Daiquiris on Google Maps. With so many positive reviews, we figured weād give it a try tonight. My friend and niece shared a classic Bayou burger with seasoned fries. It was super juicy and packed with flavorāmy niece even said she liked it better than the ones at Smash Burger! I went for the 3rd Ward favorite with pepper jack cheese, which had this amazing smoky flavor with just the right amount of heat. The fries were perfectly crispy and lightly seasoned. We also tried the beer-battered onion rings, and they were cooked just rightācrispy and light, not greasy at all.
Having traveled to 14 countries, I can honestly say this ranks among the top 5 best burgers Iāve had!
Howās that? Does it keep the vibe while making it sound...
