We’ve been to this place for over a decade and this a first. We noticed the food wasn’t as fresh, but it’s not as bad and it was still good. The reason I’m making a big deal about this order is because EXPIRED SEAFOOD is a big NO! My mom made an order to go and drove to my home in Katy, today is a Thursday and she drove through traffic. When we we’re ready to eat a foul smell was coming from the food. My mom took a bite from the corn and she was disgusted. We tried the shrimp and it was mushy like something from the trash. She said she was picking up a smell on the way here, but didn’t think much of it. Threw the food away and settled for other food. I called and spoke to the manager after eating and settling. Rebecca the manager wanted me to make a drive back to the restaurant because according to their policy on the receipt they can only provide a refund if I return the food. I told her we threw it and we are not about to make a drive when we are not even close by. I went and took the corn out that was thrown a few hours ago. To show a pic that it wasn’t eaten. The bag with everything is in the trash outside since it smelled. I went to look for the corn that shows my mom only took a bite out of it. You can’t smell it, but maybe this will show we left it alone after that one bite. I understand the policy on refunds. As strong as your policy is when it comes to refunds, your policy that should be just as important should be not to sell expired food! Honestly this something that your cooks should know we are telling the truth. Stop reheating your food. I will say she did offer a discount on the next visit, but my mom is starting to feel sick and said never again. She took a bite out of everything to check it and maybe something was okay to eat. At this point it needs to be reported.

Not too fancy from the outside. Indoor seating is rustic, (which matches the theme). Have fishing nets and other fishing decor hanging on the walls. Food is really good, I got 1/2 lb of crab legs and my friend got 1/2 lb of crawfish plus some awesome seasoned fries. Between the 2 of us we could barely finish all the food--it was a struggle. One thing about this place is that you eat with your fingers-- on a table with a huge piece of paper on it (wax paper maybe?). They give you cracking utensils. Pic is of the plastic bib. Sorry couldn't get food pics...was too busy eating lol. I would go back--food is tasty! Pros: -Food is good, they spice it up how you want it--flavor wise + degree of spiciness +Wide variety of seafood to please everyone -Clean Eating area -Big paper towels to use as needed -Can eat here with Keto/ Atkins, low carb diet (there is plenty of grease though, so not low fat) -Seasoned fries- 'nuff said 😀 Cons: -Fish scent hits you right as you open the door -Food comes to your table in big clear bags -Can get messy as you're tearing apart shell ON seafood -Be ready to wash your hands really good to get all the spice out -Bathroom leaves something to be desired....should do a better job there as patrons are spending a good amt of time there working hard to get all the spice off of fingers and underneath nails TIPS: Wear a shirt you don't mind getting messy--stuff splatters even with the bib on. -Preferably short sleeved shirt so you don't have to deal with it while eating.

Our server Dustin started off nice enough. He did forget to bring us butter after asking 3 times we asked another random server walking by and got the butter. Our gumbo took 15 minutes longer than the other food so we had to watch our party eat, still, patiently we waited no big deal. At the conclusion of our meal, My brother ordered food to go for his wife. Dustin decided to force that order on to our bill increasing the gratuity because “I only get paid $2.25 per hour”. He was combative and argumentative. He said to me “I’ve even been nice the whole time to you people”. I did ask him did he has an issue being nice to everyone or just us for race reasons, fair question since he said he’s been nice as if that isn’t a part of what we deserve when dining here. He used profanity and slurs and still refused to remove the extra food and place on a to go ticket. He said he wasn’t removing it because he’d brought my brother a beer and deserved gratuity on the meal even if it’s to go. We ended up canceling the to go order all together and he refused to remove the gratuity he’d already charged. What a mess and a harsh reality to how these types of restaurants see and treat their target market. I’ll never EVER visit this place again. Ever. Dustin shame on you. If you’re a manager like you said then shame on the owners for lack of training and etiquette education. FYI I tip 20% and you’re hustling a 17% tip on to go food. Shameful!

March 4, 2020 Wednesday 1900 RE: UNPROFESSIONAL service & POOR customer Service !!! I have been a repeat customer to this particular location for about 4 years..... Today, I visited this location and I received very UNPROFESSIONAL service and POOR customer service. I have NEVER experienced this type of service at this location in 4 years !!! There were a bunch of teenagers that were absolutely Horrible today !!! So there was an employee, MICHELLE, that came and just dropped my Snow Crabs on the table WITHOUT any type of eating utensils ( Crab Claw Cracker , etc.... ) . I immediately notified Michelle that she did NOT bring me any eating utensils to eat my Snow Crab... and she forgot to bring my butter. I also notified Michelle that she failed to bring my butter that I had ordered to eat with my Snow Crab legs. Michelle, was very, very UNPROFESSIONAL and was very unconcerned with the fact that I was unable to eat my Snow Crabs without my eating utensils.... I waited for about 10 minutes for my Crab Cracker . Michelle, finally showed up with ONLY the crab and still NO butter !!! THEN, I told Michelle, to send her manager so that I could complain about their horrible service. About another 5 minutes passed, and then an employee, EMILY, reported to my table and I still had NO butter. I immediately began to inform, Emily of how UNPROFESSIONAL Michelle was. Emily was very DEFENSIVE, Argumentative, Oppositional and very UNPROFESSIONAL as well. Emily attempted to make every excuse in the book as to why Michelle failed to bring my Snow Crabs with the Crab Cracker.... There is no excuse for this... It is very Simple... How was I suppose to eat the Snow Crabs without eating utensils ??? As a General Manager, Emily, really needs to talk less and develop much better listening skills. I was NOT interested in Emily's excuses at all !!! I wanted Emily to listen and correct the problem full stop !!! Emily was very unprofessional and attempted to defend Michelle. I asked Emily for her Supervisor's name and she REFUSED to give me his name. I notified Emily that I would be filing a Google review that would be commensurate with their PERFUNCTORY service. There was ABSOLUTELY NO excuse for this type of HORRIBLE service. I would like to speak with Upper management regarding this issue...
