CULTURAL 🥡🥡🥡 TASTY 🥡🥡🥡 HITECH
This place is really cool. You walk into these huge 80's video game murals. This place is recently opened. 2 months ago, and I got the pleasure of meeting the owner, that also has a restaurant in Georgia. The food is authentically Thai from the Lao district; thus, the name Lao'd district, but the actual name is a pun on LOUD. He wants the food to speak for itself, and it does!
I ordered the Red Curry, and it was delicious. An amazing blend of tastes; it was creamy, coconutty, and just the right spicy for me. BTW, you can order it at the spicy level that you prefer.
OK, let's talk about ordering. They have this new hitech way of ordering; you scan a QR code and order and pay from your phone. It's really cool. I have not had the opportunity to do that. It's great because you don't have to wait for a waiter. You order when you're ready, and the food comes to your table when it's ready. My friend, that's a few years older than me, didn't enjoy that ordering system that much; he's a bit reluctant to get with the times! But for those that don't want to order via an app, the waiters are very happy to take your order.
The staff is really awesome and friendly. Definitely, a restaurant I want...
Read moreThis restaurant was surprisingly delicious! The ordering and payment process were so easy. You scan the QR code at the table, order in the clover app, and pay in the Toast app. You can close out your tab or keep it open. It makes it so easy to split checks as well.
The jasmine green tea was good but a bit too sweet for my taste. Same with the strawberry lychee mocktail,
The Thai roti was warm and flavorful. The cheese rolls were burning hot. They had cabbage and other veggies in them which was unexpected for cheese rolls so I didn’t love them. The red curry was one of the best I’ve had. It was so full of flavor. The crack belly and steak tiger cry were also so good. The morning glory was tasty as well. The drunken noodles were a bit disappointing for me. The beef was not very tender and the noodles weren’t as soft as I like.
The service here was great. The server was attentive and friendly. There is a nice mural on one side of the restaurant. It’s weird that all 4 tv monitors are on one wall. The restaurant is very bright and clean. Will definitely...
Read moreI want to review how awesome of a place this is. Upon walking in you would think I was walking into the cast of food network by their presentation. It was something about their appearance that let me know that it was about to be good lol. The aesthetics was very much pleasing to the sight. It was super clean. The service was a 1000/10. I could tell it was genuine. They were very informative and fun. All of the workers have good energy which is a plus for some people. They honestly put a spark in my day considering how contagious good energy is. The food was so amazing!!! I had the tiger steak, the sauces were great as well. I usually just try restaurants in Houston once but this place will defiantly see me again. I also tried the LAAB chicken. It was very refreshing and had great flavor. Oh it is so much I can say but let me add this last how thorough their menu was. The picture were so great and clear. This was plus especially considering I can clearly see what I am ordering. My food came just as pictured and I was blown away by those amazing sauces. Guys...
