Lotus Seafood — Restaurant in Houston

So disappointed with the past 2 visits here. I called in an order for fried fish at 7pm. I got a text at 7:21pm saying that my food was ready. I went to the front and asked for my food and they said it wasn’t ready. I stand off to the side to wait for my food to be ready. 20 more minutes go by and I ask again if my food was ready and my food had been sitting on the counter all along. I’m not sure what kind of pick up system they have, some food is put by the pick up and some food is put by the daiquiri machine. I asked for my food to be remade and they took it to the back and brought it back out a few minutes later. The food obviously was cold; the fish and fries. Please bring back the light skinned guy black guy with the freckles. I’m not sure if he quit or he doesn’t work Fridays but he’s been running the front smooth and efficiently since yall were on Braeswood. The food is good and I’d like to keep patronizing yall but yall have to get the pick up system together.

Edit. After Lotus replied to my review I sent them an email. I then received a call from Michael and missed that call, so I called back and spoke with Jackie. She was so nice and really cared about my experience. She explained how their pick up system works and how they are constantly working on trying to improve. She wanted to make things right and she did. I went in today and the service was excellent. I am changing my initial rating just because of how I was taken care of. This is what I call customer service! Hats off to you guys you have set the bar high!...

I wish I was on here writing a great review because I’ve been so excited to finally had a chance to try the wonderful food I heard so much about but, unfortunately me driving from Austin, was not worth the drive due to the fact customer service was horrible and rude, cussing in front of the register! It was my very first time I was unfamiliar and wanted to know what was most popular and the man that had taken my order had said the hot box and I asked what came in it he stated rice, crab legs, a potato, corn and shrimp. Sounded like a deal to me and I had went on an empty stomach just so I could experience a wonderful meal. When I had received my order to go it was cold and unfortunately no rice so I went back inside and let another gentleman know and he said in that box there is no rice and I was confused because the first person told me there was rice in this combo, than I let him know my food was cold and he said unfortunately there was nothing they could do about it for the fact the kitchen was shut down and I asked for a refund and couldn’t do that either because the register was shut down as well. I was so upset and just couldn’t believe my first experience was a horrible experience 😞 if I ever visit another location it definitely won’t be this one. If you love ratchet food this is the place for you. I used to come here at another location The food was quite good. This tasted like horrible but take out Chinese food. Very low quality ingredients with a very high price for what you're getting. That's on one gentleman asking how does he open the crab without any tools to open it with. They couldn't even answer the question. I got the loud basket it was horrible. Overcooked boiled egg overcooked shrimp over cooked crawfish that wasn't American crawfish. No taste this was 21.99 I believe. If you're going to charge this much at least make it taste good. I understand your clientele assistive people that do not know what the food is supposed to taste like. And are used to these things. At least be honorable with your food if you wouldn't serve it to your own grandmother why are you making these people eat this mess. It's funny on how you make it seem like it's a hip hop restaurant The reality it's just an overpriced Timmy Chan's. As an African American chef who specializes in Asian food I can tell you this is the worst food you can eat the lowest quality of food.
