BEWARE of the reviews here possibly placed by owners and friends of owners or paid posters!

Before going we looked at this place online. It looked clean and inviting. It also stated hours until 6pm. My girlfriend, who is Filipino, and I decided to make the over hour journey there based on the online information. When we arrived, we were immediately concerned. The area is in a very shady area with street hookers walking around as well as street people just hanging out. It is HIGHLY advised to lock your car, don't leave anything in view that they could break a window and steal and bring your gun! The online pictures are deceiving. This place looks NOTHING like the online photos! Its dingy and run doen. When inside a gentleman there, advised us that they close at 4pm, it was then 3:15pm. He claimed he didn't know how to change the online listing to show the correct information. The buffet was only half filled and most food looked like two day old road kill. However several pans still looked edible and we were hungry so we decided to stay and eat. No one at any time came to our table to ask if we wanted anything or if things were ok. WE had to go and ask for our drinks as well as napkins! Unfortunately, while we ere eating our FIRST plate staff continued to breakdown the steam table. When we tried to go for a second helping only three items remained and several deserts. We took small portion of the remaining item and ate it. While eating they turned off sound to tv and a few minutes later the tv went off as well in the middle of a Philippine program we were watching. When we went back for the dessert it too was gone and staff claimed non was left. HOWEVER, there had been no other customers to eat it so not sure where it could have gone. We returned to our table to finish our drinks and like things weren't bad enough, a large cockroach was on the table eating food off my girlfriends napkin!!!!!!!! My advise is go to this place if you are used to eating at third world eateries and you don't mind...

Came into this restaurant yesterday with my wife. Yeah, I looked around and it was pretty dirty and pretty run down. No one was there, no 1 greeted us? It took us ten or fifteen minutes for them to even decide. We were there. I was not being judgmental at first because i've seen rundown restaurants before that had pretty good food. But this place did not live up to that premise. The food was horrible, the food was cold and I do mean all the food, the fish had bones in it, and I do mean a lot of bones, and to top it off, they had a sign that says thirty dollars a head. And I told my significant other they've got to be kidding me!!!!!! We started to leave and all of a sudden someone popped out of the back kitchen. We vocalized our displeasure, and the woman said," oh, no problem", we give you discount. Lowered it from thirty dollars a-head to twelve dollars a-head????? I fully expected she would comp the meal because of it.She seemed resigned to this situation. It was disgusting and terrible. Even the desserts were not refrigerated properly.they are supposed to be cold and hard instead they were mushy and warm (something I expected the hot food to be) but this isn't the end of the story. I got home. I watched a little bit of TV and went to bed. Awakened by a grumbling in my stomach got up immediately 😫 and ran to the bathroom 🚻 and was greeted by several horrible rounds of diarrhea. Returned back to bed and a few hours past and again was interrupted by a bowel eruption finally forcing me to take some diarrhea medication šŸ’Š immediately to stem the tide. Needless to say, I will not be attending this restaurant ever again. No, will I say anything good about it? A horrible experience overall. One I don't intend to repeat. And hope that this review prevents anybody else from having the...

We wanted some comfort food but didn’t have anything specific in mind. After some searching we’ve decided on Filipiniana Restaurant…can’t go wrong with a buffet when we didn’t have any cravings at the time just some good grub to fill our empty stomach.

We got there 5 minutes after opening…the place was empty, we were the 2nd customer that day. The guy behind the counter told us to sit anywhere and help ourselves to the buffet. Not all the food is out yet, but it’s fine because there was enough for round 1. Everything looks delicious so we grabbed a little bit of this and a little bit of that. As we sat in our little booth taking our first bite…both of our eyes lit up and smiled at each other. We devoured our plates in silence while anticipating for round 2 of this deliciousness. By the time we finished round 1, all the other food items are out and piping hot, and the place is packed. Round 2 was just as delicious and comforting as the first. We both commented that we didn’t feel like we were eating at a restaurant….it feels more like eating at a friend’s grandma’s house. The desserts were ok, not great… maybe because we were so full from stuffing our faces with all the yumminess.

We’ve eaten at a lot of buffets but this place is definitely our new favorite. The food was amazing and comforting. The staff was friendly. We’ll...

Had been craving Filipino cooking lately. Specifically my dad's cooking, but sadly, he is no longer with us. Whenever we were out though, and he wanted a quick lunch of our native foods, he would choose Filipiniana restaurant. The buffet is brimming of freshly made and hot variety of Filipino dishes like pancit palabok, chicken and pork adobo, kare-kare and lechon kawali just to name a few. My mom, husband and I went there during covid time and they had plastic gloves, hand sanitizer and disposable plates and plastic ware as precaution to the virus spreading. The buffet wasn't at its normal filled food capacity but the dishes they had out was still plentiful and delicious. I would say, I was alarmed that they did not have any of the sweets that's usually on the other side of the hot foods, but when I mentioned it to one of the friendly attendants, she happily offered up that they had a few kinds in the back and promptly brought out some sapin-sapin and bibingka. Craving was satisfied. The restaurant is clean and welcoming even though the location could be better. I would recommend this place for people who want to try Filipino cooking and also to kababayan coming from out of town.

I’ve been coming to Filipinana since I was a kid, and it’s always been a spot full of good memories for me and my family. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant still has that cozy, family-style atmosphere that makes you feel at home. They offer a wide variety of Filipino dishes, so there’s definitely something for everyone to enjoy. That said, over the years I’ve noticed the quality of the food has gone down a bit. Some of the dishes don’t taste quite as fresh or flavorful as they used to, and it’s a little disappointing considering how good it once was. The buffet prices have also gone up. It is understandablee with inflation but it makes it harder to justify for the current quality. It’s still a nice place to come once in a while, especially if you arrive hungry and want to try a little bit of everything. My family and I have always loved the halo-halo, and while it’s still good, it doesn’t quite live up to the hype it gets on social media anymore. Overall, Filipinana remains a decent spot for a hearty Filipino meal and some nostalgia. I just wish the food quality would return to the way it used to be because this place really does hold a special place in my heart.
