First time trying the restaurant today wanted to share my thoughts and opinions on it.
First up I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni proscuito and basil their crust is delicious and it is on the thinner side of hand tossed style which I like. Their sauce has good flavor and the ingredients taste fresh and of good quality.
Second I ordered a Italian sandwich but had them hold the red onions and the tomatos. Overall the sandwich was good. Generous meat help cheese sliced thick enough to taste. Good meats. Only thing to deter it a bot was the basil pesto. I personally am just not a fan but the quality of it was not bad.
The Staff - they were friendly and very professional. I even came at a time when they were short handed. They apologized before I ordered and set my expectations. Great service from them and they even added one of their delicious cookies to my order as a thank you for being patient. They are definitely in the game.
Location and decor - the location has limited parking in front of the store but there is parking on the side of the building that compensates for it. The inside of the restaurant was really clean and decorated in a way that makes ya want to sit eat and visit with people instead of phones. They even have some games on the central bar style table in the Westheimer location. All in all spot on and clean. You could definitely do a date here no issues just not a romantic candlight style one. Casual dates or first meetings would do well here.
Pricing - for a non massed produced pizza chain pizza they are really affordable. They have 9 inch and 16 inch pizzas that are 9.50 or 16.00 starting. Sandwiches start at 6.00 area. Have a pretty impressive desert menu.
In Conclusion - A wonderful place to get a tasty pizza if you are tired of dominos, huts, Pappas, or cesaers. The food is great quality and everything about the place makes ya want to hurry to return. Highly recommended personally. Will definitely become a...
Read moreI ended up at Luna Pizzeria after a bad experience at Mod, where I saw an employee drying his hands in the pizza flour to get gloves on after handling money. That was enough for me to never go back, so I started looking for a better pizza spot near work and found Luna.
Their pizza is really good, the staff is friendly, and the place is clean. Lately I’ve been getting their meatball sub, and it hasn’t disappointed. The in-house chips are crunchy—sometimes a little burnt and could use a bit more salt—but overall still pretty solid.
The price is about the same as other lunch spots nearby, and the quality makes it worth it. I’ve been back a few times and definitely plan to keep coming. The menu isn’t overcomplicated, which I like. I want to try more of their food soon. Some of my coworkers have had other items from the menu, and everything I’ve seen looks really good.
One thing to note: the parking kind of sucks. It’s in a big shopping center, but the immediate parking right in front of Luna is really limited. Sometimes you have to park a bit farther out and walk over.
Overall, still a great spot for a quick lunch or...
Read morePizza amore looks like this! Happy to introduce family member to one of my favorite Houston pizzas! Luna Pizzeria on Westheimer has a special spot in my heart. I would drive over all masked up at the height of the pandemic because I craved the pepperoni pizza on sourdough crust! I also like the margarita pizza.
They also have the best salads to compliment the outstanding pizza. My favorite is the chopped salad with iceberg, romaine, red cabbage, sopressata, artichoke hearts, Kalamata olives, provolone, grape tomatoes, red onions, carrots and cucumbers tossed in their magic vinaigrette.
They also serve up a plate with sliced cheese, basil and red pepper for the pizza—loved this delicious detail. The iced tea is strong and I mixed an Arnold Palmer with the lemonade. I noticed soup and desserts on the menu but I’m all about pizza at Luna’s. Lunch special selections and prices are such a great deal.
The staff is attentive and the restaurant well designed. It was the first time I dined there since the pandemic.
We’re going to check out the Kirby and...
