Big Chef (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Houston

I’m here visiting Houston from Washington, DC and was craving for a good gyro. I searched around and found an area with several Mediterranean food trucks parked by the main road, but Big Chef caught my eye and I’m so glad it did!

I have loved Mediterranean food ever since working at a spot back in high school many years ago, so I know the difference between average and authentic. From the first sample of the beef/lamb that the owner offered me, I knew I had found the right place. The flavor immediately took me back many years. It was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and not dry like so many other places I had in the past.

I ended up ordering the beef wrap, and it was absolutely amazing. Every bite was well-balanced, flavorful, and satisfying. The wrap was generous, fresh, and delicious through and through.

The owner himself was friendly, patient, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. With so many options around, he really stood out.

This place is absolutely fantastic, if you ever want to eat amazing food from the Middle East this is the food truck to go to.

Heading over to a house party and need something to snack on? Drop on by to big Chefs and the owner will take good care of you.

I would recommend the beef or chicken platter for first timers and then to move onto the Islender plate. The prices are fantastic I would recommend this food truck over most others in the Houston area.
