Purchased from them a few times in the past so I’m a repeat customer. However my last visit was about a little over a month ago to order a large tray for a family dinner to introduce them to what I thought was better than the one they usually buy from elsewhere. When I went to pick up my order there were different employees there than who I’ve seen in the past. The family was not impressed and the majority of the tray remained. Mainly all dough, very little cheese, not eatable at all. Can’t recall eating kanafa this disappointing! I put it in the freezer and called to make them aware of our experience and a different employee I spoke to was kind and said that those who I purchased from no longer work there and to come back and he would make it right. I took the leftover only to show them in person before I threw it away and explained to him I didn’t need a replacement because I have no current gathering for a new tray, and left it with the employee to show the owner. The owner saw it on his truck camera while I was there, and told the employee on the phone to ‘let him take it back with him’. I told him I don’t want it and just throw it away. The owner did not even offer to make it right by any means. I wish I took pictures to share here, but didn’t think I would be received with such negative attitude from the owner. Never again, waste of $65. There’s lots of other consistent choices around town instead, go else where.

EDIT: In response to the food truck’s reply - FALSE info. My purchase was on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024 which obviously has nothing to do with October. And I showed the employee my credit card charges (Apple Pay) on my phone as proof for that day and previous purchases. I had no intention of returning it or going back, therefore it was not a priority. Only wanted to make them aware of what was being sold before throwing it out when we decided the freezer space would be...

Look, I appreciate the entrepreneurial spirit, but this ain't a food truck, it's a masterclass in frustration. If they want repeat customers, they need to either get their act together, or embrace the chaos and rename themselves.

I have visited the food truck total of 4 times over the past 2 months and the only consistency is their missed pick up time window. Even if you call on advance and come in late ,order won't be ready.

Also half of the menu is always not available such as the cream knafe and all the sodas. If you don't want it on menu update it!

To combat the tardiness of your orders, you should prepare the knafe trays ahead of time and just cook it for guests.

15 to 20 mins preparing time for one knafe is ridiculous

Also, my confidence in their hygiene evaporated. Hair nets were as rare as a compliment from the grumpy cook, and beads of sweat on their foreheads rivaled the number of crossed-out items on the menu. I'm...

I just moved to Houston last year, and as a fan of Jordanian Kunafa from Habibah, I was eager to find a comparable treat here. I visited Abutair Kunafa with zero expectations because, overall, the restaurants in America have been disappointing. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find the taste remarkably similar to that of Habibah in Jordan. The kunafa was delicious and brought back fond memories.

I would definitely recommend going there, but a heads-up – avoid wearing flip-flops as the location has a lot of dirt. The only downsides were the portion size, which was too big with no smaller options, the price being a little high compared to Jordan (though that’s to be expected in America), and having to wait nearly 20 minutes for my order. Despite these minor issues, it was a great...
