So, this is an update to a review I left almost a year ago. Last night the service was so bad, we will never go back again. We literally had to stop 5 different people to get more items to cook. Horrible. They charge you $35 a person for all you can eat, but never return to ask what else you want. Having to stop servers clearly ignoring us was very aggravating, especially since we were there for my son's birthday and this is the place he had chosen. We should have drove 5miles or less down the street and gotten both fantastic food and over the top service at the Brazilian steakhouse. I would avoid this place if I were you. Not only were we obviously ignored by the servers, again I can only assume that they really don't want it to truly be an all you can eat but just a way to lure you in, but there were at least 3 men walking around filming the guests and the goings-on. Oblivious to the fact that there were us at table 8, and another table behind us complaining about the same thing. Horrible experience yesterday and I rescind my previous review . Then to top it all off, after we finally did leave, the men who were taking pictures inside earlier were right out the front door smoking cigarettes, so after a pretty lousy experience inside, we had to walk thru cigarette smoke right out the front door.

. This was my review from almost a year ago. This was really a fun restaurant. We had heard about it from a friend so decided to give it a try. It's kind of a new concept for us, probably for most people as a matter of fact. There's three different menu price points each menu representing a certain amount of proteins available. They bring the raw protein to your table and you cook it on your own little hibachi grill in the center of your table. Like I said it was a new concept for us but we really enjoyed it. It was pricey, we chose the highest price point menu, $35 a person, but it was an experience that we are glad we had. We probably will...

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Save your money. The waitresses are extremely rude. They don’t even speak to you and just walk away as you’re trying to order. We didn’t even get to finish our order and then the waitress told us we could only get one more and no more and it was so confusing. We had a large party and were told (after trying to order) that we could only order 4 items at a time and must finish all that food first before ordering again. Our party wanted different things so 4 items and waiting for each other to finish made zero sense, especially because it was $40/person and “all you can eat”. Definitely not an all you can can experience. We spoke to a manager and about 5-6 other workers huddled up around us just to argue with us to tell us we could only order 4 items and couldn’t order a 5th item until finished due to people wasting food. We get that people can waste food but our party was huge and we wanted options it just didn’t make sense to pay that price and be so limited and given very very poor service. They also say they charge if we don’t finish the food which is common at Korean bbq places. So they should’ve just let us order, see if we finish it all and if we don’t then charge us that fee! Let us enjoy the all you can eat experience without feeling like we are begging for service ans food…. We seriously felt like we had to beg them to serve us so we left and went to Jin Korean BBQ on 1960. The service is way better and cheaper! GREAT REVIEWS TOO. You won’t regret going! They also don’t limit you at all like this location. We also finished all of the food we ordered here so wasting was an issue. DON’T come here unless you want bad service and want to beg for...

I almost frequently venture to this location. And almost always the experience has generally been difficult to hunt down a waitress to trying to get the next course of meat in for your meal.

While the food has always been worth the wait, it's always been difficult to actually get the meat let alone track the waitress/waiter itself.

Whenever I have a friend who asks for me to show them a place they've never been to before, the first thing I will always think of is Korea House. Any time I've gone to any place else, this place has always been my number one let alone their meat is hard to compete against!

My only issue is there appears to be a passive/aggressive fight with the staff when it comes to trying to cook your meat.

Usually the staff will replace your grill plate frequently to coming around to check in. As of late, some of the waitresses would be passive aggressive about changing the temperature of the dial on the grill. This is my reasoning for the four star review.

While I can whole heatedly agree that this is a place of business and restaurants have costs they need to account for, please let me cook my meat in peace given I only can have two hours to eat!

I highly recommend if you intend to maximize on your time at this restaurant during it's two hour maxmium during high volumes to order your wings and raw meats in one go.

Pork will take the longest to cook and beef will take the quickest to cook next to chicken.

I recommend ordering one portion of the pork and change up the other servings while you wait in between courses.

It's definitely worth the experience...

Updated 1/9/2023 with lunch: Great portions and nice diversity for a reasonable price. About $21/person with tax and tip. Galbi was a bit chewy but flavorful. Tempura could've been a little crispier but the dumplings were very crispy. Good soup and nice dessert and light banchan (kimchi, beansprouts, broccoli, potato) included. Was seated immediately on a weekday and served quickly, with lunch well within an hour and a half. Dinner AYCE review (July 2022): We were a little nervous at the service at first, because it started slowly and they don't handle large parties too well (only 4 meats at a time and served two plates of each to a party of 12). They also aren't set up well for 12 since we only had two burners between us, putting 6 to a burner (usually 4 to a burner is standard). However, the food came out quickly once we got started and the sides were portioned well and individually plated. Pricey AYCE compared to some other Houston options ($42 PER person for the "B" lowest tier menu after tax and tip, highest tier is like $55/person with tax and tip) and there is no option to self serve anything. However, the service was fast and polite (unlike other KBBQ which sometimes takes forever) so I would recommend giving it a shot. Their website menu is out of date as well unless it was changed for the weekend.

We called to see what time Korea House closed before we drove 30mins across town. The woman who answered said 11pm and it was on speaker phone so all 3 of heard it. At 10:27 we order more food and the manager or possibly the owner comes to the table and says we’re closed. We close at 10:30. My husband told him we called before we came and he said no we didn’t and he closes at 10:30 M-Thur and 11pm Fri-Sun. We told him we absolutely did call and the website also says 11pm. This was after we paid 37.99 per person only to be told the kitchen closed 30mins after we sat down, so half the items we ordered were unavailable! They should have told us the kitchen closes in 30 mins when we walked in at 9:30. We would never have wasted a hr going to a place with this kind of service. The waitress left dirty dishes piled on our table during our meal! This was the most expensive Korean BBQ restaurant with the worst meat selection and customer service we’ve ever encountered, and we’ve eaten at least 25 Korean BBQ restaurants around the world! Very unprofessional to lie about what time you close when the time is on your website! Definitely won’t ever go back here!
