I used to love this place. When they first opened the Long Point location. The food used to be super flavorful and the portions were big. I have to say the quality of the food has gone down over the years and the food is now very bland. I barely go there anymore and the only reason I go is because my fam still likes some of their food. I've been getting big Joe burritos for breakfast for my office team for years and I have noticed that the burritos get smaller and smaller every time, so there is that. There is no flavor other than when you add salsa, which by the way, they skimp on. I always have to ask to put one molcajete and one green salsa for each burrito (we are Mexican, so yeah, we eat a lot of salsa). Sometimes they give me attitude about it and sometimes they want to charge for it asking if I want a big container of salsa instead. Of course I do not pay extra for that; I am already paying for the food and it salsas should be part of it.
Today I had a bad experience when ordering lunch (for the first time). The person that was taking my order was having trouble taking it. I suspect she was new, which I totally get and I was being patient about it. She was asking someone about the things I was asking her and then suddenly the other person takes the phone and answers with a nasty attitude. She sounded annoyed by the questions I was asking and was rushed to get me off the phone. At the end, she was ready to hang up, then I stopped to ask the prices for each item because it seemed like it was lot for what I ordered and again with the same attitude, sighed loudly and gave me the info I requested. I did get her name though, her name is Daisy Balderas. I recognize the name from the few times I've been to the restaurant lately and from an order they messed up once. She needs training and how to address their customer.

Read moreI have always loved the food here, but the service is horrible. I just spoke to the “manager” who also refused to give me her name. A family member came in and placed a to go order while she was dining in. Told the waiter she wanted ALL the tacos al vapor potato and chorizo and they didn’t have chorizo so she said all potato. She comes home and they’re two potato, desebrada, and chicharrón. I don’t eat pork and anyone in my family knows I do not eat pork. I am extremely picky on my res and specifically chose potato for that reason. I called the “manager” and the person on the phone was standing next to the manager and the manager refused to take the call but I could hear her telling the person on the phone what to say. First they told me that is what I ordered. Then, they told me that I would have to come in for a refund and bring back the food (I’m 30-45 minutes away), then they said they would be able to give me a refund but I would have to bring the card in. I specifically told her I need to speak to the manager directly I do not care to speak to the hostess, manager assistant or what ever she was. When I asked who is above the manager she said it’s just her. I know restaurant chains and know for a fact that is not true. When I asked who I would speak to when I come in I she replied with whoever is there. Absolutely horrible customer service. This review is only about the manager, Carlos. My co worker and I come here at least once a week, sometimes three times a week, for lunch. My co worker always orders a michelada because he says they make the best ones. On our visit yesterday he thought the michelada didn't taste good, like it was spoiled or something, but he went ahead and paid for it and we went on our way. So today he ordered one hoping the problem had been fixed, but when he got the drink it tasted the same way, not good. He let the waiter know and she let Carlos know, he said he would take the sauce off the bill but he had to pay for the beer, even though it's all sold as ONE drink and he didn't drink the beer alone. When he tried to tell Carlos that it didn't taste right, Carlos literally talked over him in a loud voice and said that he had tasted it and it tasted fine. He talked over my co worker every time he tried to speak. Extremely rude, horrible customer service. Like I said, we come here every single week, usually multiple times specifically for this drink, it seems Carlos should have listened to a regular customer saying there was a problem and fixed it rather than saying, NO I tasted it and it's fine??
