Place -Clean & nice music Service- polite & friendly(+) The drum fish DELICIOUS🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 RICE GREAT TOO. 😖EUGUSI- for ME was entirely too spicy. I did NOT enjoy it, my mouth, lips, throat, even in my stomach was all hot. 🤦🏾‍♀️😣 Mine was full of small fish bones, I had to keep picking it, them out, I was really disappointed. I came from far across town, then I ask for chicken with mine. I had these 3 bigg hunks of meat, dry, and a lil tough in my bowl. I DID NOT eat that. So I finished the bony, extra spicy hot Eugusi & FuFu... My cousin was soo kind to share her good BIGG drum fish with me... I was upset and traveled across town home. Not fulfilled with what I went out there for (some EUGUSI.) It's a Nigerian dish, but this is not a Nigerian restaurant. It's a West African restaurant. the plantain was dry and not very sweet.

This is a very honest review. This lady charged me at the rate of $20 each plus tax it was $43.30 for two plantain and fish that was supposed to be $17 each. I did approach her and question her about the different price and she got defensive and couldn’t provide a reason why the price was higher. She also refused to issue me a personal receipt for my purchase but I got a screenshot from my bank app and I’d be attaching it below. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Kindly go somewhere else to get good food. I think they should learn to be sincere and maybe they’d be able to keep their customers rather than finessing their customers and trying to play on customers intelligence. I also attached the price of the items if I was to order online.

I walked in and placed my order egusi soup then I asked the lady how long will it take ? She replied 15 to 20 min but before I even seated for 5 min this dude just walked out and gave me a order I believe someone else ordered but never showed up I was shocked . So when I got home , opened my order it was as if I ordered red palm oil . I had to drained the oil but still got more in it n the egusi didn’t taste like real egusi soup. I’m an igbo man so I know our food way too well. I won’t say don’t go here but if you want the real deal try safar african kitchen it’s off bissonnet. I uploaded two different pictures one with oil is from Marie african fl & the other is from safari . Just for y’all to see the difference.

I placed my order over the phone and I have been hang up before completed my order. I always drove 30mn to this restaurant to eat and spent at least $30 or more. I ordered a suya for $10 and also a haft grill chicken for $15. when I arrived she told me to pay with my card because she not taking no more cash. I had to give my card. she went with my card for like 15mn, and when she came back I told her not to keep my credit card for that long. she had a bad attitude and told me that she didn't do anything with my card. and I just told her next time give my card after she charged me for. she went inside and brought my food after 15mn, while I have been placed my order 45 mn ago. I always shake my suya boxed to mixed the meat with the onion. and when I got to my car I open the suya and I found out the suya was half way. I immediately went back inside to let them know that my suya was not enough like I usually get. and the manager told me that I ate the suya and she will not fix it neither gave my a refund and told me to call who I want to because she doesn't care. i have been goin to this restaurant for like 2 years and I have brought a lot friends to this restaurant but a lot of them stop going there for their bad customers service. the lady manager have been rude to customers. I stopped going there too but yesterday just wanted to get some beef meat, I left the meat there but I really want something to be done for this restaurant for their bad service. i have never been humiliated like yesterday for a someone to be more specific a manager to treated me as a liar...

Rude as hell! I spent 10 mins asking the guy that supposedly takes the orders did the Suya Platter eith Plantains have more Suya than the Small Suya. He was all the way confused and there was definitely a language barrier. He said he understood but he didn't because he kept repeating that I wanted to order both. Finally I gave up! They brought out the Suya and I tried it, it was brisket and was not spicy at all. It is not the usual suya that I get from Sabo and Afrikiko. They totally missed the mark.  Guy comes out  and tells me that I can't eat in there. I tell him that I was trying it, not eating there, as I know that you cannot dine in. Then he goes and tells another guy that comes from the back that I was eating. Wth is he gonna do? I asked the guy that takes the orders for some spicy seasoning for the so called Suya and he tells me that it is spicy. I tell him that it is not. He goes back and forth with me for a bit then proceeds to open up my bag and I stop him. He just stands at my table and I tell him that he could go. So I asked the tattletale for some spice and he tells me that it is spicy. Really?? Idk what's wrong with these people. He then tells me to pay $1 for it. That is the best he can do. No sir. We get the rest of the food and I check it, while being watched like a hawk, and then we leave. I was so ready to get outta there. I will never ever come back to this place. The language barrier, lack of customer service, and I can't deal with the rudeness.

Jollop Rice- ok not spicy enough for me Coconut Rice- tastes good Goat- too tough Suya-...

This place used to be so amazing, but over the years it has just gone downhill drastically. Firstly their food quality is going down the drain, their suya used to be wonderful but now it’s 95% onions and 5% meat. Even the seasoning is getting more and more translucent these days. Secondly I don’t know which one is the most worst experience dining in or take out. The take out option always has a missing item or the quality of the food is disgustingly bad. The dining in, their restaurant never has AC it’s always humid or hot. The restrooms are disgraceful and disgusting, they are never clean, everything is wore down. At this point I’d rather pee outside or hold it till I get home. Thirdly, I know there is inflation but they’re inflating the already inflated prices. And for the price to be so expensive, you don’t even get a lot of food. They should at least have the courtesy of filling up the bowl. Don’t even bother ordering the Eru it’s mostly just watery and bones. They should just call it bone soup. This place used to be good, now their hygiene is just embarrassingly bad and the prices do not match the quality of the food. One more important note, unless you ordered on DoorDash don’t expect a refund for poor quality food or any other reason. The restaurant themselves will not refund you, the employees there are not understanding at all. Go here at...
