I realize that we live in Houston and that there are many fast food chains that are struggling with hiring qualified personnel. But every time we use this location, which we work in the area, so it's fairly frequent... The person taking our order generally is not a strong English-speaking individual. That being said we frequently go through the drive-thru and end up with an order that is incorrect. An example for today, including an order that has the two cheeseburger and basket and fries deal for 6 bucks. We asked for extra pickles and onions on our sandwiches. Not wanting to hold the line up we didn't verify the receipt on the bag or open the individual papers on the sandwiches. The receipt on the bag said only pickles, and when we got back to the house for lunch and open the paper wrappers that is exactly what was on the cheeseburgers. No ketchup, no mustard and no onions. I realize it's McDonald's and it's not Ruth Chris, but when you're paying 15 or 20 bucks for your entire lunch and we're talking about a simple request to add extra items it's just repeatedly disappointing at this...
Read morei live near this McDonald’s so I’ve gone here a bunch. things are consistently incorrect. Once I went into correct something and good I checked again because it was still missing something. I’ve had many orders wrong or missing items. ALWAYS CHECK IT. Chances are something is wrong or missing. I’ve ordered ahead via the app and waited 15+ minutes for my food multiple times. I thought the first time was a fluke. It wasn’t. I’ve gone through the drive thru where they’ve totally ignored the outside lane and after 5 minutes I gave up and went inside. today I just wanted an ice cream cone so I went inside because there was a long line in the drive thru. I went to order at the kiosk. I was told the inside was closed and I couldn’t order. I just left.
They are very understaffed all the time. Of course mistakes happen due to that but it doesn’t make it any less...
Read moreWeird experience. This location has been remodeled to reflect "the restaurant of the future," where we place our own order at a kiosk, then pick up our food at the counter...except I still had to pay at the counter. It was manned by a high school child who barely knew how to use the register. I barely knew how to use the kiosk. There was too much "just barely" for the price/quality of the food.
I don't want to work at McDonald's, not even for 5 minutes, and certainly not for free. The new decor had a crisp, clean look - almost upscale fast food. That's the problem...too many oxymorons. It was too sterile.
The family with their 3 year old throwing slobbery fries on the floor, seemed out of place. The limited human interaction at the beginning of the customer experience didn't click with the "sit, enjoy" vibe after you...
