**Title: Fresh, Flavorful, and Farm-to-Table: A Culinary Delight at Mendocino Farms** Nestled in the heart of the city, Mendocino Farms is not just a restaurant; it's a vibrant culinary experience that champions the farm-to-table ethos. Known for its commitment to organic and locally sourced ingredients, Mendocino Farms offers a menu brimming with both innovation and comfort, catering to health-conscious foodies and flavor chasers alike. From the moment you step into Mendocino Farms, the ambiance sets the tone for a relaxed dining experience. The decor is cheerful and welcoming, with a touch of rustic charm that underscores the restaurant's connection to local farms and suppliers. The staff greets you with genuine warmth, making you feel like a part of the Mendocino family from your very first visit. The menu at Mendocino Farms is a parade of bold flavors and healthy options. A standout dish is their "Not So Fried" Chicken Sandwich, which features crispy baked chicken, tangy mustard pickle slaw, and herb aioli on a perfectly toasted ciabatta. It's a healthier take on a classic that doesn’t skimp on taste or satisfaction. For vegetarians, the "Avocado & Quinoa Superfood Ensalada" is a revelation, mixing fresh greens, quinoa, and avocado with a zesty citrus vinaigrette that dances on the palate. Mendocino Farms also excels in its drink offerings. Their house-made lemonades and iced teas are refreshed seasonally with flavors like peach ginger and mango green tea, which are not only refreshing but also beautifully complement the dishes. The commitment to quality is evident in each sip, aligning with the overall ethos of health and freshness. The restaurant's dedication to local sourcing is not just a marketing tool; it is palpable in the freshness of the ingredients used. The seasonal specials, which change depending on what's locally available, offer diners a unique taste of the region’s best produce. This not only supports local agriculture but ensures a menu that’s both dynamic and environmentally conscious. In conclusion, Mendocino Farms delivers a dining experience that is as nourishing as it is delicious. With its strong commitment to quality, sustainability, and community, it stands out as a beacon for anyone looking to indulge in a meal that feels good and tastes even better. Whether you’re there for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner, Mendocino Farms offers a delightful escape to a world of fresh, tasty, and wholesome food.

OMG! We moved here from NorCal and was super happy to see very similar menu items, albeit a few different flavors because the dressings on some salads and the goat cheese comes from different farms I was told, but it was amazing customer service and the same type of feel and welcoming atmosphere. Met Lee, the manager of this location, because there was something that gave my daughter a slight allergic reaction, but he was super helpful and apologetic, and they made it right with free cookies and a refund for one of the items that we had ordered. It was so good to hear how this Rice Village location is really striving to be the best by offering the same highest quality options and ingredients that we has gotten used to in Cali. I had my kids with me, and they were out of chalk, but the children’s area was clean and quiet, the inside was largely empty on a Friday afternoon around 3 (right after school) which was a nice respite. This location has plenty of outdoor seating that flows naturally with other “patios” of eateries next door. There is tons of parking and even. 2 hour free garage attached to the building. The avocado and quinoa salad was amazing as always. The pink lady beets and goat cheese salad didn’t work for us here. The grilled cheese and grilled turkey and cheese for kids were amazing in their well toasted brioche. See pics.

What an adorable place! Mendocino's has a great patio area and equally nice, clean interior. It's counter service, and placing our order was easy. I ordered the chicken pesto caprese sandwich with a side of the thai watermelon and cucumber salad. The sandwich was fresh and tasty, and pretty much as I expected it to taste. The portion was quite large, so much so that I had to share half of it with the hubby. The watermelon and cucumber salad was cool and refreshing, and had a nice little kick to it. The hubby ordered the the Peruvian Steak Sandwich with a side of the Oaxacan potato salad. The potato roll does not look like it does on the website, it's much darker. I had a bite and it was delicious! Although hubby enjoyed my sandwich better, I found them to both taste great. He did enjoy the potato salad, for sure though. Parking is easy in the garage right behind the building. I definitely recommend eating here for a quick and casual bite!

Stopped in for lunch for the first time and it was good. I had the Chinese chicken salad which was served in a good sized bowl (nothing worse than a bowl to small to mix your dressing to get your salad well coated). The interior was modern with cows decorated all over to remind you of the farm to market appeal. They had a small section for family eating that had a table just for the little ones next to the adults table. Accompanied by a huge chalk wall for entertaining them. Small tables lined the dining area with bar style seating in the middle.

Everything about this place reminded you that you were making a fresh choice and quickly had me feeling good about my decision. The best part of the experience was the casually dressed business man in front of us that gave us all the great menu and ordering tips. Told us how to turn a sandwich to a salad (his favorite was the one with the potbelly pork). Ask for it skinny, he says cause the dressing are so good he can't afford the calories. I got mine both skinny with dressing on the side so I could add if needed.

He also gave the tip to always leave an interesting name for your order. Jiminne Cricket he tells the waiter and pays for his food. He said it's a crowd pleaser in restuarant that call your name out loud. And he says ALWAYS go for the free tortilla they ask you if you want. Great advice because the food was awesome. The chicken on the salad was so tender. We also got the salad with the quinoa and the house crunch mix. Delicious and beautiful. It looked so good that another business man sitting next to us had to ask which one it was.

Needless to say we will be back!!! Another piece of California in Houston to...

We are avid customers and often come here whenever we want a good sandwich or salad. However today when we came in around 8 me and mother ordered our usual orders with an addition of a fountain drink ( the seasonal lemonades they often have). After acquiring the drink from the cashier we saw that the lemonades were not available and they did not have the pour spouts only the basic lemonade and tea were available. After noting this we saw that one of the workers was emptying the containers we then asked her very nicely if she could give us some of the passionfruit lemonade after finishing that because of how good it tasted we obviously wanted more. We went to ask the worker if we can have more then with a very moody attitude she then went to get a paddle and scoop the lemonade out of the container and gave is 3/4 of a cup. We talked to the manager about getting one last cup and she asked the same worker if she could have a cup and after she was asked this she was visibly angry and then when she delivered us the cup of lemonade she didn’t even acknowledge us when she put it down she put it on the table near us instead of after our table. Now I’m normally not one to complain about things like this but if your workers are getting that much into a tiff about things such as us getting a drink that we paid for, then maybe leave it out until you fully close the restaurant or don’t let customers buy them after a...
