Every time I think about this place, I just feel annoyed and angry. I have no pictures from this experience because nothing was worth remembering. It felt as though since we had a large table and the tip was already included that any kind of good service just went out the window because they were already taking our money. The prices they’re charge do not add up to the portions we got. The chicken looked like the two thinnest slivers of paper for $26. Sea bass seemed frozen and was so dry I refuse to believe it was actual sea bass. Outrageous. The waiter did not give us any bread until they realized another table they were serving had gotten bread. When we were trying to leave from this horrific experience, our waiter just disappeared and we waited another 20 minutes until the manager saw us looking around and asked what we needed. Could not care less to ask how our service was and if we were happy. Based on the replies she gives to other bad reviews, she is not apologetic and does not address any of the concerns in the review and instead just projects blame elsewhere or acts like the review is fake instead of owning up to it. She goes even further to say that since they have 300+ reviews that equal out to 4/5 stars that they couldn’t be to blame and maybe it’s just our problem instead?? Like what kind of audacity and arrogance do you have to have to just shrug off our reviews addressing real problems. We live so close to this place and it is understanding why we’ve never been here and will never come here again. Unless you are a regular, YOU WILL NOT BE TREATED FAIRLY OR EQUALLY AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. THIS IS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY OR TIME. If you are looking to have a nice evening with your family, this place will leave you with a sour taste in your mouth. Instead PLEASE just go and support anything else and you will be...
Read moreWe should have thought twice when we had to put a credit card in to reserve a table but did so as we were trying to have a nice evening out with a family of 8. We have been here before and wanted a nice place to celebrate job promotions and family being in town. The live entertainment was nice but made it hard to carry on a conversation which made the noise level in the restaurant higher.
We ordered 3 martinis and all of them were very icy making the drink watered down. We asked for bread but did not receive any until our food was taking a while so they brought the bread out to buy some time. We had to ask for water refills several times(this for me is an indication of the service and the easiest way to keep customers happy).
The most disappointing thing was the cost for the meals that only a few out of our party were happy with. The chicken Marsala was good but would have been better with plain noodles rather than pomodoro sauce competing with the Marsala sauce. The branzino was very good and was enjoyed. The sea bass was disappointing, it was more like a Tilapia filet was dry and we had to ask for lemons for it.
They charge a 20% gratuity for large parties which we expected a standard gratuity of 18% but the service did not even warrant that.
The evening ended with us waiting for some time to pay our bill. The owner was on her way back to the table where she was visiting with friends and asked what we needed. She hurriedly took our bill but not once did she ask how everything was as she set the receipt down to rush back to visiting.
Maybe the owner will be more attentive to this review than her and her staff were...
Read moreA recent weekday was the worst…I had a horrible day at work with back to back meetings and where nothing was going right. As I left my office, I got caught in a horrible downpour only to realize I had zero gas. I literally rolled into Kroger‘s on fumes to fill up. I was sitting there slightly frustrated when I saw Mezzanotte’s just across the street!
I rarely am a party of one, but I decided I deserved it and was gonna stop by Mezzanotte‘s for a relaxed glass of wine before I went home to see my loving husband, who I had a slight spat with earlier in the day.
As I entered the bar area, your bartender was putting the finishing touches on an amazing looking Espresso Martini. I hadn’t even put my purse down when I said ‘I’ll have one of those.”, as I took my place at the bar.
I had every intention of having one nice drink, playing a little Candy Crush on the phone, and then heading home… but before I knew it, I was ordering lamb chops, a salad and a nice glass of wine. I decided to put my pouting pity party aside, called my husband and told him to come up and join me. He sat down with a nice pre-ordered Old-Fashion at his place and we had a wonderful evening. Needless to say wacky Wednesday turned into wonderful Wednesday thanks to you, your restaurant and your lovely bar staff!!
Thank you so much for having such an absolutely great establishment. Please share this story with them and let them know they never know the effects they’re having...
