So my buddy drives past this place every day on the way home from work. One night I get this call about checking it out. Millie's can be summed up as a relic bar of a far away yesteryear. An old working mans watering hole. This may be the the divey-est bar I have ever been to in all of Houston. Old school everything. The bartenders mom owned it before her and she took over operations. It's practically been the same for two generations before me...if that is any indication of the way it looks.
Best thing about this place is the price and the sweet old lady that runs the place with her quick service. Though, decor and atmosphere are questionable at best (though the cool collection of trinkets are alright). It happened to be kareoke...
   Read moreCame on a Friday night with family, there was about 4 people in. While we were there a very drunk woman came by asking us for money to put in the jukebox. We declined and wished her a good evening. 10 minutes later she was calling me "4 eyes" because I wear glasses and other discriminating insults. She then started verbally attacking my entire family. The owner and her husband told us we needed to leave because the woman creating the issue was too drunk to leave. As someone who worked as a server-bartender for 4 years, absolutely unacceptable way to speak to your guest. It is now clear why there was 4 people there on what is typically one of the busiest nights for a bar. Won't be back....
