What a slimy place. I had an agreement with the person who works there to purchase some high-priced items. We even talked about delivery arrangements. He agreed to the terms, and on the same day, sold them to someone else from under me. If another buyer offered more money, I would have appreciated the opportunity to match any other offers. The manager’s name is Tatum Gehbauer, and he is the one who disregarded the agreement he made with me to sell to someone else - within hours! Save yourself the time and aggravation of dealing with these unprofessional and unprincipled people. They have no regard and no respect for their customers. *Update: I see the owner has responded. So basically what he's saying is Facebook customers and agreements made with Facebook customers will not be honored or respected. Why even put an ad on Facebook if you consider them 2nd-class customers? And by saying it's a "policy", you're also insulting the intelligence of actual customers coming in your store. Everyone knows we are human beings dealing with human beings. All you, as a manager, had to say to an in-store customer was "I made an agreement with someone online, and if they don't want it, I will call you to let you know." That's just basic customer service courtesy. Instead, you're putting blame on someone who made an agreement with you in good faith and washing your hands, therby absolving all responsibility. I was in the market for a new desk as I'm moving to Houston soon. I looked all over the Houston area (and let's be honest, it isn't a small footprint). I came across CORT Furniture and decided to give them a chance. Upon arriving, I was greeted by some of their sales persons who were attentive and seemed interested in what I was looking for. They directed me to the correct location of their desks and helped me pick out the perfect one. While they had a few gentlemen that were working, the first to greet me was Tatum Gehbauer. He was kind, educated, and was super attentive to all my concerns about the type of desk I was looking for. While we were making conversation, Bob and Jose joined in and it made me feel like I was chatting with family. The service from the above salesmen was nothing short of fantastic and I will definitely be giving CORT Furniture my business...

This place has unique furniture - pieces that are cool and unlike traditional furniture stores! The prices are reasonable, too. Service is great. You get acknowledged as soon as you walk through the door and the don’t hover over you while you are browsing. Tatum took really good care of me. I purchased the perfect chair there. I also bought a super cool lamp there because they only had one in stock at the time - but I wanted two lamps. I called the next day to see if I could get another one (actually two) and Tatum made it happen. I just wish I had known about this place along time ago. I would strongly recommend this place mainly because of the variety of furniture coupled with the super service. I will definitely be back! ...
