Hmm, like others I have found the reserved tables for two an annoyance if I'm alone, but a positive if I come with someone and can snag the big table.
I like the atmosphere; I enjoy the location. The place is much larger than I expected, considering I used to just see it while passing by, where it looked like a counter and maybe a few chairs. But go inside...whoa! It's big.
Ok. Now for the unpleasant. I use their app to place orders because it gives me 10% off. Starbucks makes it easy to earn rewards, and I just can't help myself. I like using coupons and getting rewards to help with cost. But with this app, it's still hard to earn points. Starbucks brings in savings much faster. Starbucks is a machine though. Their process is smooth.
But let me tell you, at Minuti, I've had more than one drink come to me a smaller size than I paid for. And when the worker makes a mistake, the vibe kind of makes me feel like the customer gets blamed, not the worker.
Today, for example, I got my tea latte. But I received it 30 minutes later. Reason #1: The person working never looked at the app orders. She just cleaned and talked so she never saw the order. Reason #2: Finally, when my drink was made, no one told me it was ready. Reason #3: Since I learned from a past experience that the size can be wrong, I asked. And it was the wrong size.
So, I took the small drink to not waste it. And, well, I waited 20 minutes so of course I'm taking it. Then the worker came up to me and asked if I actually wanted the large one I paid for. I said, "yes."
So, 30 minutes later, I got what I ordered.
Overall, order in advance. And check...
Read moreI came to try this coffee place because I always see it around. The pastry was good but for some reason they have a bunch of signs specifying how many people can sit at each table. I sat at a table that I thought would be comfortable since the place was pretty empty. I was sitting and a lady maybe the manager, not sure, told me that the table I was sitting at was only for two or more people. She made me move to another table with a stool despite the fact that the place had barely anyone in it. I told her I would move if the place got crowded. She told me to move even though their was the same exact table next to me empty. Honestly I couldn’t believe it it felt like a joke. Something you see off a comedy show. Turns out it’s just this location and not other Minuti Coffee places. She almost made me never go to another Minuti coffee shop. Other than that the people working behind the counter are kind. That lady made me leave in a pretty annoyed mood and I had planned to never come back. Honestly disappointed because I love coffee shops and they missed out on a possible...
Read moreI’ve tried the bakery items on three separate occasions, and unfortunately, they’ve been consistently disappointing. The cheese danish and chocolate croissant are extremely dry, like they’re at least two days old, despite warming it up. The chocolate croissant has barely any chocolate inside, which defeats the purpose.
Another major issue is the music. It’s so loud and dramatic it feels like you're sitting in an opera house. It’s nearly impossible to have a conversation or get any studying done. While the staff is friendly—I did ask them to turn the volume down once so I could study, they kindly obliged—the next time I visited, their manager told me they’re not allowed to adjust the volume. That was especially frustrating since I was the only customer dining in the café for the next hour. I can’t imagine how lowering the volume would have negatively impacted anything. Nothing about this place is giving Italy!
Bottom line: this is not a good cafe to study or work, and the baked goods aren’t...
