I have been a loyal customer of Mr. Gatti's for over twenty years and have been visiting this establishment regularly for the last ten years. Today, while at the restaurant, I experienced terrible customer service from management. After purchasing two large pizzas, I returned to my car and noticed an advertisement on the door of the business. I subscribed to the ad and received a coupon for one medium pizza with one topping. I went back inside and showed the person at the counter the text message. Unbeknownst to me, he was the manager, named Syed. He read the text and asked how I had received it. I explained that the advertisement was posted on the front door of the business. Syed said he needed to contact his boss and seemed very reluctant to honor the deal. He stated that I would have to pay extra for the meat, citing that the coupon was only valid for one topping on a cheese pizza. I pointed out that the coupon did not specify that. Syed then suggested I consider purchasing a buffet or takeout instead. I informed him that I had just bought two large pizzas less than five minutes earlier and simply wanted to use the coupon, especially since I lived 50 minutes away and it would expire in a week. Fortunately, another employee came over, reviewed the text, and resolved the situation. However, Syed appeared displeased and walked away. I can't help but feel that race played a role in his treatment of me. He greeted the next customers in line, who were non-Black, with a smile, while he greeted me with visible disgust, as if he thought I couldn't afford a medium pizza and was just seeking a freebie. Syed needs more training in customer service and communication skills, as well as a better understanding of how to treat all customers equally. I was very disappointed with how he treated me. My two-star ⭐️⭐️ review is solely based on my treatment today from management. Overall this business is great. Mr Gattis is my favorite pizza over all.

The experience was blah. The food was decent good. The cashier was a gentleman, very nice and informative. Since we've never been here before, it was nice and helpful. Now, my problem was with gameroom. Everything is will cards you get. No tokens. Yet they had gave that take tokens. For instance the token pusher. Now this was an Elvis coin pusher... you normally aim you token where you want to the back. The it would push the tokens to the lower level and you get or suppose to get the ones that fall. However you get tickets back on card. Come to find out you get a roll of tickets that you get when you wait in line to tell the person gives the prizes. I ended up wasting the whole 20.00 I put on my card....Then you can reload your card, which I tried. Well another 20.00 lost somewhere in the system. It was 20.00 for 80 tokens + 20 token bonus. Well my money was lost (not on my card). Back in line to wait....finally told the prize giver about my lost money. She said ok I put it on there, went and tried game. Took tokens from card and then said I have 36...what happened to 100. So again I went back and told her there was only 36 and I should have gotten 100. Again another try and it was 80...for all my trouble they should have gave me 120 or more but I was tired of back and forth so I left it to rest and dealt with the 80. Everytime I played a game it would take out ever 4 up to 8+ per play. I'm not a happy camper.

Let me first say, that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this place since the late 90s as a small child I remember visiting my aunt house in clear lake and the biggest thing for the weekend was the awesome pizza. My family has had generations of parties here. This past year I have come here at least l0 times for just casual dining & Birthday parties. However, so many alarming things have transpired. I sit in utter disbelief & disgust to say that one of my Favorite pizza places is completely gone with the wind.

I entered the building at maybe 1pm and I’m aware that you have to pay for the buffet. That has always been a policy… Nontheless I have a huge bag in my hand, the party is 15 minutes till ending, and I’m not eating pizza or bread do to personal issues so I call my sister to tell her just to come get the gift. A middle age guy said’ just go in as long as you don’t eat. My sister said oh we don’t do that. Now the son just told my cousin a few weeks ago that he’s familiar with my family coming there for years so we shouldn’t have any issues.

So I came back shortly to purchase a drink which was a little over 3.00 fine not an issue, I myself understand that a business is there to generate money. Nontheless The front said you gotta pay, again. I said I just walked in and was told to go to the back. I would like to purchase a drink please. No it only comes with the buffet. Why?? This is completely unacceptable. So you can’t buy a beverage to take your medicine?? Or to dampen your throat? Everything was so hard !!! And completely different from what I’m accustomed to. As soon as we loaded up the car with well over 40 gifts. A young short lady with black hair says did you pay did you pay? OMG this is rather excessive and abusive. There should be a system when you enter in and pay that you have a color band or a Stamp.. instead of policing the door like you’re in the military . The people at the front desk are rude, combative, cantankerous and just don’t have good people skills. Then a young black guy asked for an application, and the tall older lady with blonde hair said oh you don’t wanna work here we wouldn’t hire you anyway.

I was appalled and my mouth dropped open in total shock. I felt as though I was stabbed a 100 times. Then I looked around and not 1 Black person Works here. I’ve been happily coming here enjoying the atmosphere for over 3 decades I don’t consider Color I look at character. And let me tell you!! I’m so appalled, I could vomit. If you desire some kind of decency, respect and compassion. Go in the evening when the SON is there When I departed I asked for a to_go cup for my beverage and they give me a cup with less than 8 oz. I politely asked can I get a bigger cup? That’s located right there! The young lady said’ sure for .54 cents more!! Geeshhh go up on the price of the buffet. But to charge for a decent 12oz Togo cup is Insanity

I Will never walk in here AGAIN!!!

Truly, all good things will...
