[9/15/25] For lunch, I ordered a flatzz pizza at this Pizza Hut location. I realized they recently renovated the place and it now looks twice as big. But when I went inside, I realized the waiting area was 25% of the building. But it was spacious enough to walk in, go to the counter and ask for your order.
Pick up went smoothly; the young man at the counter was attentive, all I needed was to give him my name and I had no problem getting my order.
When I went to check on my order; I opened the box, and I realized that the flatz was a bit smaller than I expected. I knew it would be smaller than their pizzas, but for $6, I expected it to be at least half of one with some gimmick that it has higher quality ingredients.
But when I looked at it, it really felt like I was buying two half ends of a regular pizza. I bought it on discount but I don’t think it’s worth the regular price of $6. The store is currently running a promo for $5 till 5pm but it’s not even worth that much— it’s better to spend $2 more for a whole pizza.
But size aside, by the time I got to try it, i wasn’t hot neither lukewarm. Which took me by surprise, as I didn’t have this problem with ordering in general. It took me a couple minutes to arrive at the location after placing the order. And I expected it to be at least warm upon pick up. It’s the whole reason why customers choose the convenience of buying at Pizza Hut rather than making pizza at home.
I did a bit digging around online to check if anyone else had the same issue, and turns out due the smaller size and thinness of the flatbread, it tends to cool down way faster than a regular pizza would. The flatbread base is less dense and heat dissipates faster.
It doesn’t help Pizza Hut leaves products on a shelf after they’re done. I felt that the store could’ve done a better job keeping their orders insulated in a hot box or warming station.
But at the moment, Pizza Hut has none of that in place. So when you order, as soon as your food is done, it’s out of the oven and it’s only a matter of time before it gets cold.
I wish the location invested in a way to prevent the food from cooling down this quickly. And I don’t think they spent too much time researching on the possible flaws of selling flatbread, only that there’s interest in flatbread pizzas and gave it a try without thinking twice. It felt way too rushed.
But for the taste test— it was as you’d expect from a supreme pizza in a flatbread base; with your usual bell pepper, onion, pepperoni, sausage, just a bit of everything. But, to be honest, It felt underwhelming. It was given it could’ve been eaten fresh.
I took my first initial bite shortly after I got it. It was stiffer than your typical pizza crust, and had a hard crunch. But not a satisfying crunch, as I had to focus on biting through it. It was a struggle to eat the stiff almost rock dense flatbread.
Once again, I don’t think anyone thought this through before releasing it for the sake of releasing a flatbread pizza into the market. Do not spend $5-6 on this product. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a...
Read moreI visited the Pizza Hut at 10886 Beechnut St, Houston, with high hopes for a meaty treat. Unfortunately, what should have been a simple takeout experience at a trusted chain turned sour quickly. Upon arriving home, I discovered a long hair nestled among the toppings of my large Meat Lover's pizza — a sight that instantly killed my appetite.
I promptly returned to the store, eager for a resolution, expecting perhaps an apology or an offer of a remake. But the encounter with the managerial staff, specifically the Hispanic lady manager, left much to be desired. She dismissed my complaint with quick assumptions that the hair wasn't from their staff, insinuating instead it could be mine — despite the clear visual difference.
The unprofessional response was only compounded by the current roadway construction chaos, which I had braved twice; once for pickup and again to address this unsavory issue. I wasted time, gas, and patience, hoping for nothing more than common courtesy and customer service fundamentals: acknowledge the problem and offer a solution.
Instead, I was met with denial and a failure to acknowledge a simple truth in food service: the customer's concern should be taken seriously. To my dismay, I observed that none of the workers were wearing hairnets, which raises concerns about hygiene standards at this location. What I encountered was not only a failure in food safety but also a stark lack of customer service acumen. Refusal to take responsibility for the issue added insult to injury and left me feeling disrespected as a customer.
No customer should have to defend their integrity over a piece of hair. No resolution was offered. This lack of basic hospitality and responsibility from the staff at this location is appalling.
They dropped the ball, and sadly, I left not only with a ruined meal but also a sour taste about Pizza Hut's customer service standards. Buyer beware — your experience with a pizza could quickly become unappetizing, with your concerns dismissed as easily as crumbs off a table.
In conclusion, between the disturbing find on my pizza and the dismissive conduct of the management, my experience at this Pizza Hut location was deeply upsetting. I cannot, in good faith, recommend this establishment, as my visit signaled a significant disregard for customer satisfaction and food...
Read moreI ordered my food and got a notification that my delivery was on the way. Nearly 45 minutes later, I still hadn't received my order. I called and spoke with a rude employee who gave me no information about where my order was, just that the driver took multiple orders and had to deliver to different sectors - even though my address was 8 minutes from the store. I asked if I could get a discount or get the item free because it was late and was told "they don't do that there". I asked for a manager or corporate number after further inquiry gave me zero help with locating my order and she hung up on me.
When the food finally arrived it wasn't hot, the breadsticks were burnt, and it didn't taste good. Pizza Hut has lost my business over this one. Doesn't seem like I'm alone either. When you have hungry children and you've paid nearly $70 for food, having zero answer when you inquire about where it is unacceptable. Never again. There are better pizza places and Pizza Hut has dropped the ball too many times at this point.
When employees aren't rude, you get a little understanding, but when they are rude after you've spent money that helps pay their wages (and I wasn't rude in return, just concerned about where my food was), you have a very slim chance to none in getting that customer back. I'd give zero...
