I would love to give a five star because I love coming to this place, but some of the staff are very rude. Okikiola specifically ALWAYS give customers an attitude. Why is she so rude when I’m paying for the services? I want to order food, Okikiola will first look at me from head to toe with her eyes before proceeding to ask me what I want in the most apathetic tone. Like she wishes I wasn’t there so she wouldn’t have to perform the service. When I mention my preferences, she looks at me like I’m stressing her to do her job. Later, while enjoying my pap and Akara I come to the counter to ask for her help to open my peak milk, and again with the attitude, she goes, “Did I give you? Where did you get it?” I replied, “I got it from the store this morning since I got some groceries as well.” Then she gives me bad look, and after much mumbling underneath her breath, she eventually opens it. This kind of interaction just makes the whole experience sour. She’s rude, her attitude is bad and uninviting. Honestly, I would suggest that Okikiola and her friend (don’t know her name, but she is dark skinned and wears a hijab), maybe the both of them can work at the back of the kitchen cos their faces dey kill my joy whenever I come. On the other hand, the food is good, and the rest of the staff is friendly. There is another girl (don’t know her name but she’s dark skinned and skinny), she is SO NICE and very welcoming. Maybe some of the staff can take notes from her. With all that said, I truly enjoy coming to both the kitchen and the market because it is reminiscent of Nigeria, but this isn’t Nigeria where you can get away with shitty customer service. Customer service can be improved on. Thank you. Thanks for resolving the issue, really...
Read moreEdit: Since my previous review I have seen significant improvement in terms of food quality, cleanliness, and service. You can tell when management puts effort in listening to their customers and stay on top, that’s how you earn good business. One of the best in the Houston area. Changing this to 5 stars. Keep up the great work!
This is my second time coming here. I was very impressed on the quality of their yam since it did not spoil when being kept. My family and I were impressed by their meat pie and yam porridge and fried rice. They were delicious and fresh. Now I came back the second time and I ordered egusi soup and oha soup. I came home and opened the egusi soup and ate it, it was delicious. Now I opened the oha soup and I smelled something sour, I tasted it and it tasted sour. I knew that this oha soup has gone bad. I had oha soup when I was in Nigeria so I know what it’s supposed to taste like. I am a bit disappointed with the oha soup but I give 3 stars because of the quality of service and the meal. Just to make sure to order the most popular ones stated in these reviews, since they are usually...
Read moreOn the 16th of February, I made a purchase totalling $9.73 at the Beechnut branch. After swapping my card, the receipt didn't print but the transaction was showing pending on my bank's app which I showed to the cashier. The cashier then call his manager named Emeka who said I'll have to swap my card again and that the first transaction will be reversed. I did as he told me but as at today the 26th of February, the payment has not reversed. Today, I went to their Beechnut office to make a complaint and the dude who acted as manager said I have to continue waiting on their bank (I had waited for over a week already). This is not about the money involved but the attitude of the said manager who didn't show any clear customer service skills. I have been doing business with Wazobia for over five years but I came to rant here because of the way I was being questioned after showing evidence that this money was deducted and there was no clear cut solution being proferred. Then telling me I have to wait on their bank is what actually...
