new to this area waiting for the store I was actually going to to open so we ended up looking for somewhere to eat and decided to stop at this location it was our first time here I am such a food critic and I hate to give this review but after reading all the other reviews and hearing the word authentic in every review I don't see where the authentic comes from but we all have our opinions I have to say though the service was great the horchata was delicious and so was the rice beans and their red salsa I'm not much for the red salsa as to I love A very spicy salsa but I decided to give it a try with the chips It was very Delicious compared to all other red salsas I've ever tried I'm glad I tasted it . I ordered A torta For my son It looked very Depressing And dry Not to mention it was cold . I ordered two fajita plates one for myself and my oldest son But like I said The rice was delicious and so were the beans but the fajitas were sort of burnt Especially in my son's torta. I was very disappointed Because before I entered I asked a young lady who was outside If they were open on the inside she said yes and that I would love this place that it was delicious I am such a food critic I love taking photos but unfortunately I was very disappointed. Although I must say once again the service was outstanding And so was the horchata rice beans and the red salsa for the chips Really sad that they only had homemade corn tortillas and not Homemade flour tortillas😥 the Horchata so delicious that we ordered two additional ones For the road. I really hate that I didn't take any pictures because I love posting The pictures of the deliciousness but Just go and try it...
Read moreMan!!!! I love when I find these local spots! The place is a cute little spot it reminded me the "fondas" in Mexico City or Puebla (hence the name) . Menu has different food options I came for breakfast HD the machaca (specialty from chihuahua Mexico) and since I was craving Gorditas I ordered one (Gordita is basically a corn pita fried and you can put anything inside usually a meat dish and some lettuce cheese and tomato). And chicharrón is basically pork belly cooked on a green sauce (made usually with jalapeños and green tomatillo). When I tell you the first bite of that Gordita took me back to my childhood and my teenage years in Mexico eating at those fondas and it's like a warm hug! The hot chocolate could've been better but I give it to them because it came on a nice cup and it had whipping cream (the actual drink was watered down) still pretty enjoyable. Prices can't beat it! So you can have a decent home made Mexican breakfast for less than $10 Btw don't expect complementary chips and salsa like some Mexican spots in order for them to keep the good prices they charge if you want that . Seems reasonable to me And the lady who was serving my food was the sweetest and kind made me feel like home.

Read moreAuthentic Mexican food! Somebody’s abuela is back there throwing down!
From the moment you walk in you are immersed in an authentic Mexican experience. From the altar to the decor to the art/memorabilia, to the food, NOTHING IS WATERED DOWN which I appreciate.
It’s not the largest place and parking can be difficult as it’s in a neighborhood and off a busy street. It can get packed so you may have to wait if you come between 10-1.
The food is sooooo fresh! Sometimes Mexican food can be super greasy but this food is not that. I ordered the picadillo plate and tortilla soup and both were amazing! The portions are more than enough for you to have leftovers. Everything is made fresh! The chips, the tortillas, literally everything is made fresh! The tortilla soup is the best I’ve ever had. Get a crispy taco if you come. Also, they have a hibiscus drink that you HAVE to get with your meal.
The prices are outstanding especially given the quality of the food.
All of the staff are so welcoming and friendly, I look forward to being a...
