We just moved from the Galleria area to the Heights, just blocks from The Post. After passing it several times and constantly wanting to stop by, we finally did. We didn’t try any food so I can’t speak to the quality of the food. The wine selection was fine for us, although we have limited experience with wines. However, the service was terrible. We sat at a table to scan the QR code, and to take a few minutes to make a decision on wine. We walked up to the bar and two staff (both male) were behind the bar. The first guy didn’t make eye contact with us and eventually walked to the other side of the bar, grabbed the chair I was sitting in before walking up the bar to order, and dragged the chair to the bar to sit on it. We were at a 2 chair table so I found that odd as it almost seemed like he was telling us to leave (?). I NEVER say this or think as much, but my partner and I honestly wondered if it was a bit of profiling since we’re gay. As much as I hate saying it.

What added to that assumption… the second bartender approached us and continued scrolling Facebook (his screen outline was very visible to us) for probably 90 seconds before acknowledging us. Once he did, he communicated with head nods and hardly spoke. Terrible, terrible service.

We each ordered a glass of wine, and the wine was pretty good. Tried the patio since it’s cooler outside for this time of year, but it was a bit run down and a younger couple was smoking weed behind the building, so we gave up, paid out, and left.

I am so sad of our experience as we were excited to find a local, chill, laid back wine spot with good food within walkable distance...

YOU MUST BE OK WITH CATS EATING OFF YOUR FOOD Location: N Main Staff: friendly, nice Wait time: none to put order (you order inside at bar) Then of course just the norm for your food to be cooked. Seating: indoor and outdoor Parking: enough, as

Awell as street parking

As we walked in the vibe was very chill. Based on reviews I decided to give it a try for the sprouts and steak. We made our order they have QR codes both indoor and outdoor. We opt for outdoor seating as the weather was phenomenal. As we are waiting for our order a cat decides to come by. It decided to get closer and jump on table. I don’t mind animals I just don’t like them where I put my food/ eat. Another guest came and took the cat (thank you to her). We received food and started enjoying, again cat comes and is under table, we try to find someone that works there to take cat away and none was outside. We continued eating in a rush to try to avoid cat jumping on table and taking food. Well it didn’t worked. Cat jumped on table and started eating off the food. Definitely left after that. I really was loving this place and would have love to give it a chance but definitely need someone checking on outside customers and make aware of cats in advance.

UPDATE After speaking with owners, they took responsibility and initiative to make things right. Speaks highly of the service they run and the care for customers. Will definitely be returning to try their wine selection but will stick with...

I can’t say enough great things about this place. The unassuming front is the best part, because when you have that first bite of food you realize you’ve found a true gem. The community that The Post has created in the heights neighborhood is absolutely wonderful. The owners - Tashi and Rebecca - are the best people you’ll meet. Tashi, the chef and owner is insanely talented. Their core menu delivers every time and if you’re lucky enough to get a spot at one of their wine dinners you’re truly in for a treat. He’s a true artist, crafting masterpieces with wine, spices, and flavors as his palette.

The bartenders here are the perfect blend of skilled professionals, masters of hospitality, and genuinely great people.

Remember - it’s beer and wine, so go to The Hideaway (this dream team’s second concept, just down road) to imbibe further!

Honestly I’m so grateful to live close by - their kitchen is open later than anyone else and, like I said, it’s delicious. Best burger I’ve ever had, the taco trio is so affordable and has all the elevated flavors you’d hope if you knew what to hope for! Pasta is incredible and the steaks rival (if not best) the nicest steakhouse in town.

I realize this may seem overly positive, but I have nothing but great things to say. I remember being hesitant the first time I walked in because the building didn’t look like much from the outside. They’ve certainly cleaned it up since then, but it’s still a fun surprise to walk in and...

Key Highlights: plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, great staff and service, perfectly priced menu and decent selection of alcohol (wine and beer). Locally owned and run small business! Although I wouldn’t come here again for a meal I will say I would perhaps only visit for happy hours or drinks. Give it a try if you are going for wine/beer and steak - FYI you can do a board of steak if sharing. From a menu perspective it’s very limited and focused on key items, mostly steak - vegetarians or vegan diners may struggle here as you are limited to perhaps two items (veggie taco and brussel sprouts/fries) And maybe rightly so as this could be their strong point. They also do pasta nights on Wednesday where we were told that all sauce is made in house specially for pasta Wednesdays. The chicken taco was decent, chicken was a bit dry but otherwise ok. Takes maybe 2-3 to fill you up if tacos are the only thing you are having. The Mac and Cheese felt like it was a boxed Mac and cheese and was nothing spectacular. Same with the brussel sprouts and the grilled cheese - I will say here that the fig jam as part of the overall sandwich goes well. The wine list is decent and well priced and we had a bad experience as the wine by the glass we had was awful as it tasted vinegary meaning it had gone bad (was the South African Pinot). Staff and service is a 5/5 and they did a great job to meet all our needs and walked us through the menu options very well.

This place is “meh”, at best. My girlfriend and I visited on a Wednesday to partake in their Wednesday special - 2 pasta dishes and 2 glasses of wine for roughly $30. 1) took the staff 15-20 minutes to even acknowledge that we sat down and take our drink order. I couldn’t believe I had to resort to waving my arms in the air to even get some sort of acknowledgment from someone. Not a great first impression, or start to our experience.... but I stayed open minded and proceeded to order our meals. 2) I will admit - the food was actually better than I expected. I would give them a much higher overall rating if the service was better. 3) Garlic bread was promised with our meal. That never came, and when we asked about it, we got a quarter of a piece of toast, for two people ..... so bizarre. 4) Our server, who I assume might have been the owner, did try and make small talk and do a bit of table touching towards the end of our experience. But I’m afraid that it was too little, too late. Overall, this place has potential. They either need to focus on the basics of custom service and effective table touching, and/or hire additional staff to make sure that guests do not go unnoticed. The staff/owners do seemly try their best, but something is missing here and I can’t quite figure it out.... To summarize; decent food, somewhat awful/miserable customer service. Proceed with caution.
