This was a 3rd time try after discovering them on UberEats. This was the best meal this far! I was in the area and did a pick up order to cut out the middle man (Uber). My meal was made fast and fresh despite it being right before closing. I ordered fried chicken wings which were a little spicier this time but still so flavorful, juicy and good! The shrimp fried rice was delicious and the perfect portion size for dinner tonight. Unfortunately I dropped my bag while paying and lost a wing on the floor! š but the gentleman/cook waiting on me offered to cook me another if I didn't mind the wait. Definitely got a customer in me. And after sharing my meal with my aunt from San Antonio, we will be returning tomorrow for more! If I had to mention 1 downside I'd say the prices are a bit steep but everything is going up nowadays so its to be expected.
UPDATE: Had to drop some stars after a few more visits. If youāre going to charge such steep prices, at least offer good food that is CONSISTENT. After my last order a few days ago, I am very worried Iām rolling the dice on what Iāll get whenever I order here. Wednesday I received my order with a new ingredient no one bothered to inform me about. My shrimp fried rice had its bean sprouts replaced with slivers of cabbage. An ingredient I, someone who HATES cooked cabbage couldāve simply done without. When I called the restaurant I was met with an indirect ādeal with itā tone from an employee relaying the owners thoughts and simply told beans sprouts will be back tomorrowā¦like Iād be back. In addition to this rice issue, the wings strangely are always red inside. They taste good but the unpleasant redness makes me leave chicken behindā¦after dissecting them. Foods tastes good but a severe lack of consistency has me searching elsewhere for my takeout...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe probably bought chicken wings from this place once a month while we still lived in this area. The style is very similar to Korean style.
Recommendation:
Fried Whole Wings: These fried whole wings are probably a bit inconsistent on their menu. The fried is the same, but the seasoning can be different each time. Still good though.
Bone-in Wings: Q Spicy flavor. I tried all the flavors and the Q Spicy is probably their best and very consistent.
Chow Mein: Tried all the toppings. The seafood is the best. The Cajun Spicy Seafood is 2 dollars more expensive, but taste the same as seafood.
Fried Shrimp: Good.
Not So Sure:
Fried Fish: My wife liked it. I don't like it. I think the fish is too thick.
Milk Tea: Milk tea is good (like average good. At this point, it is pretty hard to fumble milk tea in Houston). Subjectively, the boba texture is also okay. I would grab a milk tea if I ordered wings; but I won't go here...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOk, so I normally go where the people are, and this is the second time I passed this restaurant while frequenting another restaurant in same area, and each time I rarely see many, or anyone going in or out of Q wings. I decided to give a try since the ratings are high. I really wanted to try the fried wings, but when I entered⦠there were no other customers. I decided to forego the wings, and just try something simple like the vegetable spring rolls. Well, for me, if you canāt get spring rolls correct, I canāt give you another chance hoping to see if you can get something more substantial right. I have never had a spring roll that was mushy inside⦠I took two bites, and then I tossed. I always say that a place that is really good, the customers will come, no matter what time of day ( like the restaurant two doors down ). But for me, this place is...
