La Roca — Restaurant in Houston

The only thing I've tried from this place is their tamales, elote and pisque. They're good, I like the corn (elote) ones more. I can't comment on their service for the restaurant part because I've never went there to dine.

What I dislike the most is their location and parking. They have absolutely no parking at any time. They have too many clients to be in such a crappy spot. Granted on the weekend you can park in the auto shop next door but my dad had a horrible experience with parking and people outside on a weekday.

If I want to enjoy some good pupusas or other Salvadoran dishes I just go to La Pupusa Loca down the street on Hillcroft.

We gave this place a shot once again at night and there was parking! Shocking. But the service was dreadful.

The balding man working the counter was rude as hell. He didn't even want to tell us what tamales they had and I had to ask him twice. He looked at us like we were bothering him by just being there.

Just avoid this place, it's terrible service is not worth their ok food.

Absolutely the most disappointing salvadoran restaurant!!! 😡😡😡

I went there and it took a minute to get a waitress. A waitress came by asking if I had been help said no asked me what I wanted a soon as she gave me the menu ( like what? sorry that idk what I want before I even look at it!) I placed my order and the food took so long to come out that I forgot what I was there for or what I ordered. The food arrived and it was cold, I told her and she took it in the mean time she brought me one of the pupusas (more expensive than other places)that I was waiting on additionally. It was hot but way undercooked. Then she brought the plate again and temperature wise it was also the same as when I sent it back. The curtido was an abomination should not be called curtido.

I gave it a 5 star so this will be at the top.

This location has always been my favorite to get snacks on the go but I’m truly disappointed!!

The guy they have as a cashier at this Roca location is always eating when taking care of us the customers. But the worse is the horrible habit he has to lick his fingers when opening the bags to put the food inside.

It is truly disgusting because this is food that we consume. And we are not able to tell him anything because he will talk bad. There is lack of respect and etiquette.

I hope the owner does something to find a solution...
