This is a beautiful establishment but has many kinks to work out. The water taste like pipe water. Not enough servers. We waited an hour for our food and my food was cold . Specifically the broccolini was cold not even room temperature. The Jollof rice was burnt and my spinach arrived with the check not apart of the meal . There were issues early on which they did apologize for but I guess the waiter was over all the issues the restaurant was having that she didn’t even apologize for my complete order not coming out together and the cold food. When she brought the spinach she brought receipt as well and I packed it took it to go. Bill was over $100 and they added there tip automatically which added insult to injury. I then understood why there was no care or concern for the long wait . After waiting an hour for our food then an extra 30 mins for spinach that was oily and lacking as well there was no real customer service because they knew they were getting their tip regardless.Never offered a concession or anything I had plan to let the tip reflect the lacking but they included 18% automatically.Honestly I would never go back. It’s a new restaurant they are only under a year open and have a long way to go as far as customer service. They need more servers and maybe another cook and a lesson in customer service. This was out experience with just my husband and myself I can’t imagine the nightmare with a larger group . It is however a beautiful 😍 place nice ambiance . But the food , price, wait time and service was...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at one of the most elegant and beautifully designed Nigerian restaurants I’ve ever visited—and I can confidently say it was one of my best birthdays yet. With a party of 12, every detail was handled flawlessly from the moment we walked in.
The décor was absolutely stunning, blending traditional African textures with a refined, modern aesthetic. The ambiance alone set the tone for an unforgettable evening. The plating of each dish was nothing short of artful—each course looked as good as it tasted. From rich jollof rice to perfectly grilled meats and flavorful sides, the food was both comforting and elevated. It felt like a true culinary celebration of Nigerian culture.
What stood out even more was the service. Impeccable doesn’t even begin to describe it. The staff was attentive, warm, and effortlessly coordinated, ensuring that our large party felt welcomed and cared for throughout the evening.
The highlight of the night? They surprised me with sparklers and a birthday sign that brought so much joy to the table. It was festive, personal, and such a thoughtful touch—it made the whole evening feel even more magical.
This restaurant is a shining example of what upscale international African dining can be. We need more spaces like this—where culture, flavor, and sophistication meet. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to host events, celebrations, or simply indulge in a...
Read moreThis establishment had some serious issues. We had a large party and were expecting a comfortable stay. However, the accommodations were small, and the food arrived over the span of three hours. The service was staggered and disjointed, with dishes arriving at haphazard intervals and inconsistent timing that made the entire dining experience feel chaotic. We had to repeatedly ask the for food and even take silverware from empty tables. Some attendees never received their food at all. We are even disappointed in ourselves for staying, but it was Mother’s Day.
When we tried to speak to the manager and owner, they gave us two different versions of events and guarantees. It was strange as if they had never spoken to each other about what was going on. The owner was not only dismissive but also very rude. The lack of accountability for the poor experience was distasteful and disturbing.
Our server did her best, but she was working both tables and the bar. Our expectations were TOO high for this place, it truly was a letdown. Another party next to us walked out after waiting half an hour without water.
In my opinion, it’s better to make an online order and pick it up if you’re planning to visit this establishment. Also, be wary of interacting with them on any holiday, as they cannot handle a lot of orders and guests. As a hotelier, they have a lot of learning to do if they are even aware of it. Overall, it was a...
